One Lions defensive lineman has received the harshest punishment handed down for an on-field act in years for a personal foul on Thanksgiving. But another one has escaped any punishment at all.

Lions defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch was flagged for roughing the passer for a hit on Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Thanksgiving, but the league office tells PFT that Vanden Bosch was not fined.

Rodgers said this week that he doesn’t appreciate the way Vanden Bosch lays on opposing players after plays, relaying Rodgers’ account of what he said while Vanden Bosch was on top of him after the hit in question.

“I was ‘Yeah, you got me on the chin there, it’s probably a penalty,’” Rodgers said. “And he goes, ‘Noooo.’ And then he saw the penalty flag, and he started to go crazy.”

At least there’s no risk of Vanden Bosch going crazy when he gets a letter from the league office, because he won’t be getting one this week.
