I find it commical that defenders complain about Suh always being held. Him and every other lineman in the game. It is part of football. The difference is......Only Suh Stomped Another Player! If you have a complaint, yell at the refs all you want. But every player knows there is a line and everyone except Suh knew it is short of stomping another player.

I am glad he appealed the suspension however. It is his right. It was bargained in to the deal. I just wish the union didn't appeal everything. Appeals would mean more is players would accept a reasonable punishment for a punishable act. Not all punishment is unjustified.

No one fears suh why would you? I know I wouldn't want him on my team. 15 yard penalties all the time. Way more proud to have a guy like peppers on my team never loses his cool and doesn't give up on the play and works his ass off in practice. If tommie harris didn't have that injury, he was a bigger force when healthy. Never seen a d-lineman so fast off the snap.

As a Lions fan I agree with the suspension. I hope the refs will keep a closer eye on him so maybe they will start calling all the holds against him that go unnoticed. He'll be a better player after this.

If you knew Suhzie,

----------------------------------------------------------
There should be no doubt a similiar situation will happen again in the near future with this guy.

A 2 game suspension will get his attention for a short time but will suhn be forgotten.

Suhzie's brief but stormy career has produced a string of escalating fines and suspensions mostly for his fascination with grabbing and twisting his opponents heads.

This type of on field behavior points to much bigger anger management issues. It is only a matter of time before he appears on a police blotter somewhere for aggravated assault.

I predict there will be MUCH longer suspensions ahead for good old Suhzie-Q.

Strange. I wanted Suh to have a third game, and most of my stuff gets deleted quite often, too.

Chances are, if your stuff gets deleted, it's a procedural/rules thing, and not some big, bad conspiracy.

Still, stinks when you try to put some thought into it and it gets tossed. I mean, it's hard getting all three of my brain cells to work at the same time.

I wonder if the bigger question should be, did Suh learn his lesson?
Is he going to play it straight or is he going to go prima donna and the rest of the season, team and fans be damned?
I would be willing to bet that the league has the ref's watch him closely in those last three games.
I would also be willing to bet the other teams will be watching him and giving him every chip and dig they can.

Strange. Many of my comments are not staying posted while I have to scroll through a bunch of asinine "GIVE HIM MOAR GAME'S!!! HE'S REDICULOUS!!1!!" comments.

These past 10 days have seemed like an eternity. I'm glad the decision is final. I was hoping for 1 game because he did get tossed right after it happened. But hopefully he'll put this kind of thing behind him.

It will be a challenge, but he's got to just adopt a stone face and show that no amount of trickery is going to set him off anymore. Then he should start to draw satisfaction from driving other players nuts when it becomes apparent that they have no effect anymore.

I thought 2 games was a bit excessive but I also think every one of the previous fines were absurd, especially the Cutler one.

The penalty increases when you've had past offenses. That's why Pat Lee, Brian Robison, Charles Woodson weren't suspended - they don't have a reputation for ripping people's heads off. I might also add that Woodson and Robison took responsibility and apologized - rather than Suh's pathetic justification.

To all you guys who keep saying "What about so-n-so, or whazzisface or that other dude..." --

Yes, they did wrong. They were penalized. Some were fined. They were not suspended for one reason only: conduct history.

Suh is one of the most penalized and fined players in the league in many years. The other guys are not serial repeat offenders as Suh is. The League is giving the other guys a chance to wise up with just the penalties and fines as they once did Suh. But since Suh hasn't wised up despite all the penalties or fines, they had no choice but suspend him.

And the Packers player thrown out of the same game for throwing a punch gets a $20,000 fine. Justice my ass.

I’m a Lions fan and I will admit I am happy he lost his appeal. He deserves to sit.

For those of you riding him for appealing, it’s not him that’s making him appeal, it’s the union. The union makes nearly every player appeal discipline like this. Whoever your team is, if a player on yours did the same thing it would end up being appealed.

For all the morons ripping Suh for appealing, maybe you should learn something about the NFLPA before you remove all doubt of your lack of intelligence about the NFL and it's appeal process. The two games stand and that's fine. As it should be since that's what they decided. As for Suh being a punk, I would wager none of you internet tough guys would have the stoned to say anything like that to his face. You should also go to Bleacher report which has a sequence of plays that led up to the stomp and see what the Packer olineman were doing to Suh and the refs swallowed their whistles. No need to call for targets on the Lions backs, we're used to it . Iy's been that way for awhile now. Watch te bleacher report videos and there's at least 60 yards worth of penalties that the refs let the pack oline get away with. You would be ticked too. You got your pound of flesh now we're moving on.

I wonder if Shell would have reduced the suspension had there not been massive media and fan negative reaction to Suh's "loss of balance". There's no way Art Shell could reduce the suspension without huge public outcry. BTW, the decision was the correct one to NOT reduce the suspension. The NFL should have had an appeal also, that Suh deserved another game suspension given that he's a repeat offender and is by far the dirtiest player in the league.
