Enough with this “Pay the man” crap. The Eagles did try to extend DeSean Jackson’s contract. The problem is Jackson and his agent value himself higher than the Eagles do. Jackson want’s Larry Fitzgerald money and he isn’t going to get it.

Go to town on the Juan Castillo jokes, everyone beat you to it so it’s not very original even if it’s true.

Lastly, DeSean may be the Eagles best punt/kickoff returner but Maclin is the Eagles #1 WR.

Asumaghua signed a long term deal…
Jenkins…long term deal…

Smith, Brown, Young, and even Cromartie are one year players…all were pegged for back-up positions…

the Collective Bargaining Agreement dictates that teams spend 90% of the cap on players contracts…the Eagles fullfilled that.

Did your team? Are they gonna sign their punter to a 50 million dollar deal to catch up?

You watch, in a few weeks teams will be throwing money at guys that haven’t earned it, never will earn it. Just to catch up to the new CBA.

Did the money the Eagles spent on these veteran players work out? Heck no…but it’s off the books in the spring.

For those of you saying this team can’t draft…open your eyes, they are actually one of the best in the business. If you want to rip the Eagles…AND be truthfull…say they can’t draft linebackers…though I like Chaney 51, Rolle 59, and even MoFo has show signs…

The Defense this season has been terribly over-matched, and un-coordinated. Juan will NOT in the same position next season, that alone will be an improvement.

Asante will be gone…he has to be, he’s a terrible presensce in the locker roomand on the field, and is looked upon by the young players as a leader…OUCH. #22 has cost this team 4 games by himself…his departure will be an improvement.

As for… “But nothing the Eagles could do in their final four games would make this season anything other than a failure.”

I dis-agree…it is still possible, though very unlikeky…that the Eagles can win the NFC East. (I bleed green, and have lost all hope, okay…most hope in this)

If they get hot…and get (really) lucky…make a run through the play-offs…

Ah….I can dream.

Back then LiL Danny and his brain dead side kick Uncle Vinny Cerrato added high priced, over the hill, players like Mark Carrier, Jeff George, and Deion Sanders to a good NFC East winning team and it was a bust. 11 years later the Eagles try the same crap and it was a bust as well.
