By not fining him, the NFL is condoning his behavior. I look forward to more comical flops in the coming weeks/months/years.

If you don’t nip it in the bud, you end up with the same crap that’s happening in soccer.

And I love how every flag thrown on a Packer opponent is bogus but every flag tossed on a Packer is right on. Maybe the Packers are just well coached and disciplined?
LOL….this whole flag thing is just so damn funny. Every fan thinks HIS team is picked on and the other team is always ‘let off the hook’ when in reality it’s neither…….Except for Seattle in Super Bowls.

why must you take shots at the most popular sport in the world for something that your favorite sport is participating in.
it is very small of you.
as i’ve said before, there is faking/exagerating in every sport in order to gain an advantage…
-taking a charge in basketball rarely involves contact to the extent that the defender feins.
-how many times have we seen lineman or receiver throw their arms in the air to draw the holding call.
-and then there’s baseball, well nevermind that’s not a real sport anyway (they don’t play when it rains and they even cover up the field)

our nfl has it’s flaws, no need to try to belittle other sports to make your point.

Second, I agree it was funny. It would be funnier if it was a backyard league of flag football, but this is the pros. Now that Simpson has managed to make the refs look foolish, don’t you think they’ll be looking to call everything on the Bengals and especially Simpson?

I know Simpson’s production has been good in a few games this year. He has moments of unbelievable athleticism that are tempered by inexcusable drops. Ultimately he reminds me too much of past Bengal’s players. Between this flopping stunt, the pending marijuana investigation and his showboat 1st down celebrations I say his days with the Bengal’s should be numbered (i hope).

This kind of behavior shouldn’t get traction in the NFL, but we’re already seeing too many players shying away from contact to preserve themselves for later free agency. Taken along with the NFL’s tougher stance on violence, I could see more of this happening.

Oh that’s right; the NFL is only interested in the appearance of accountability.

It makes me sick that this crap is making it’s way into North American sports.

I agree, if they’re going to fine him, they should start throwing flags everytime a QB cries to the refs trying to get a roughing the passer flag
