Patrick Willis helped off the field

San Francisco’s best player was knocked out of Sunday’s game early with an injury.

Linebacker Patrick Willis had to be helped off the field in the first quarter against the Rams. He suffered some sort of leg injury and appeared to grab his hamstring.

Two people had to help Willis hobble off the field.  The 49ers lead 3-0 early.

UPDATE: The 49ers confirmed it’s a hamstring injury. Willis is doubtful to return.

This guy has been a warrior. Playing with a broken hand and leading the league in tackles. He will be back out there.

Well, if the 49ers can win today he can sit out the rest of the season if he needs to. Whatever it takes to get him healthy for the playoffs.

doubt it. generally hamstrings are not to be messed with and the niners should be able to beat a bradfordless rams team without him.
