Mr Wrigfht You are super bitter aren't you? News for you, Driver wasn't out of bounds. Show me the angle that says he was and I'll change my mind. Jennings TD was a catch. He had it in one hand and took 2 steps, Amakamura knocked it out too late. Maybe Manningham's catch was the wrong call, this one wasn't. The Finley illegal contact? Yeah that was iffy. And the Packers never drop as many passes as they did yesterday. The only yokel with an inferiority complex here is you.
Lol Mr. Wright. So cute. Yeah if you miss the blatant chokehold put on BJ Raji for the Giant's last TD, there's another 4 points. Etc, etc, blah blah blah.

"If" the Packers' receivers didnt' drop the like 10 passes that bounced off of their hands, there's 2-3 more scores. "If" Rodgers saw that roving LB and didn't throw what turned out to essentially be a pick six, there's another 7 points. Who cares about hypothetical situations?

The fact that remains is this. The Packers were down several key starters, just like yourselves. We had a rookie linebacker (just like you) and a street "Free agent" linebacker - both of our ILBs were out this week. Not to mention we've got a reserve LT and a 4th string OL playing right guard.

The reason you guys kept burning our secondary for huge gains was because both of the safeties had to play low with man deep because Capers didn't trust the rookie linebackers to stop Bradshaw (especially with one of them being woefully undersized). So they played a lot of man coverage with help in the box. If there's a rematch (and that's a HUGE "if") it won't go ANTHING like you saw yesterday. I'm laughing at this misconception because one of your retarded sports journalists actually wrote about how the Giants showed a "blueprint" on how to beat the Packers.

Blueprint:
-Hope they have massive injuries to their OL and LB corps.
-Hope that Rodgers turns the ball over (even though he does less than once every 2 games)
-Hope that the Packers beat themselves with nearly a dozen catchable passes dropped

Yeah that's a real recipe for suck-cess there, champs.

Last year the Packers loss (behind Flynn) at New England and the 9-0 slog with the Jets at the Meadowlands convinced the Packers that the team was “pretty good” and could make a run despite all the guys on IR. Giants fans have some reason to hope.

Exactly, but the only people saying otherwise are Eagles, Cowboys, Redskins (???) and outta town, anti-New York, inferiority complex-having yokels who just want to see NY teams lose.

Great game to watch for sure. As far as the officiating goes, there were some iffy calls on both sides. In no way do I think the Packers got more calls though………..The Jennings catch was probably the most controversial but if you understand the rule, it was a catch- he had control of the ball.

---------

They overturned the same type of play when Manningham had a TD taken off the board earlier this year vs. BUF when the EXACT same thing happened. Just poor officiating. Williams was pushed by Finley, but gets an illegal contact, Driver was out of bounds, yes, that was at least 10-14 points difference.

The Packers had an off day and still won. What does that say about the Giants ? However, the Packers defense better get their own ship together because that kind of performance won’t get you far in the playoffs.

-----------

OFF DAY??? Because the Giants forced them into it, you mean, right? They always drop 3-4 passes per game. That's nothing new. Their defense gets shredded all game, nearly 400 yards per game, that's nothing new (Giants had almost 450). I think the Packers are what they are. They have enough offense (and nuances therein) to beat anyone and overcome their defensive liabilities, but like New England, they do NOT want to see this Giants team again.

Dallas is beyond inconsistent. And unlike Green Bay, they can't move the ball 8-10 times to get into the red zone per game without the Giants having massive turnover problems (not at all out of the question, of course, as a Giants fan I know better), but the reality is, the Giants can move the ball on Dallas all day through the air AND on the ground with AB back.

And Fewell is coaching for his current job and his future, so we will see more of what we saw yesterday defensively. We will sweep Dallas and get revenge on Washington. The Jets game may make or break us, but winning that one would clinch another tiebreaker (common opponents) as the Jets beat these clowns Week 1.

If only there was a way to bet on the Giants 2nd half collapses. It is thrilling every year though to see the Giants fans get so excited in the first couple months when they play cupcakes and get every bounce and break. Then injuries and accidental shootings set in and the Skins, who think fluky wins once a month begin to play like the cellar dwellers that they are, find themselves at the bottom of the NFC East, while the Giants either make the playoffs and make a decent run/win it all, or lose out on a once-a-century miracle ending to a game.

Giants fans have nothing to complain about re: the refs. That catch in the endzone by the TE, his knee hit the line very clearly. That's out of bounds. Blame the TE for not dragging his other foot like he should have, then it wouldn't be a question.

Both catches by Driver, he had his toes right inside the line. Guy has been around forever, you don't think he knows what he's doing?

anyone who watched that game and didn't think the refs gave the game to GB is out of their mind. The first play to come to mind was the Jennings TD which was obviously being bobbled as the prince slapped it out of his hands. Then there's the ridiculous illegal contact penalty on Williams guarding Finley, which was such a blantant bad call that even Buck and Aikman agreed was an errant call. As stupid as it may sound, it was the bad illegal contact that I believe set up the game winning drive by GB, as no Giant DB wanted to be flagged for an erroneous 40 yard pass interference penalty with 40 seconds to go in the game.

The good thing for the Giants is that Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago and Detroit all lost. It was a tough loss for the G-Men, but they have to move on and get ready to play Dallas. Winning both games against the Cowboys gives them the division, but even if they split they could still get in as a wild card. Chicago has no quarterback and now no offense without Forte, Atlanta is inconsistent, and Detroit is one of the most undisciplined teams in football (right up there with Tampa Bay).

Was at the game; but it comes as a loss and thier 3rd in a row due to the defense not being able to get a stop. Can't blame the offense in this one, you even had a Travis Beckum sighting! You can't help the calls but it helps that all NFC teams in the hunt lost too. The Giants never make it easy.

I'll be the first to say that Rodgers is a fantastic NFL QB, one of the best of all time but you can't attribute a close game to just a bad game. The Giants harassed him all day, blocking passing lanes, getting in his face. JPP was jumping in his face on every throw. There were a couple of drops but also a lot of passes disrupted by pressure. The Packers won but don't attribute the close score to a bad game by the Packers and not a good effort by the Giants.

As far as the officiating goes, come to green bay and we'll hook you up with some cheese to go with your whine.

Finley and our wide receivers were getting mugged all night. The officials also missed a blatant jason pierre-paul launching on Mason Crosby's missed field goal as time expired in the first half. That would have been a 15 yarder. I also saw several blatant holds by the Giants offensive line that weren't called.

I'd say the calls evened out. You lost. Get over it and stop whining. Just worry about Dallas next week.

"They were going against a team that had a rookie linebacker, a linebacker who was a street free agent a week ago, and Will Blackmon in coverage. Yet they still almost lost? Thats more than “off”."

Yeah, but the Packers were going with backups at left tackle, right guard, running back, safety, cornerback, and both inside linebacker positions by the end of the game. At least five of those players should be back if the two teams were to meet again at Lambeau in January, so I wouldn't get your hopes up that the Giants played them close yesterday. Given that the Giants have to win out, I wouldn't get your hopes up anyway.

Eli tossed away an INT as did his royal highness arron rodgers both turned in to TD's

The problem with the Giants is not Eli and for a change it was not the running game it is the D 5 weeks ago they were all over Brady after that not a thing.
We need not just a new OC but a new DC to right this ship.

And yes the Giants may not make the playoffs this year and the Packers will but my guess is the pack will not beat SF or NO.
NO has a D and a QB that can keep up with AR

So for all you giant haters keep hating at least if the Giants fail I can watch 3 SB wins on DVD this winter can you?

Did anybody watching yesterday NOT say to themselves "Don't rush, kill some clock" when the Giants had the ball with about 3 minutes left?

Buck and Aikman said as much and for some strange reason, they Giants were hell bent on squeezing a play in before the 2 minute warning.

I'm sorry but they should have ate up more clock and gave the Packers bugger all to work with.

I'll echo the comments about the officials. It felt like everything fell towards the Packers- Giants lost every challenge, when a player's foot had to be checked to see if he was inbounds or not it was always 'no' for the Giants and 'yes' for the Packers- hell, they didn't even review some of the Packers plays.

I'm not a fan of either team, but even I was getting pretty irritated at the Packers having the officials as their 12th man. I wanted to see a good football game, and while it was a very good one to the end it never felt like the Giants were given a chance.
