Two juniors on the Miami Hurricanes have decided to forego their remaining NCAA eligibility and enter the NFL draft.

Via our friends at CFT, receiver Tommy Streeter and defensive tackle Marcus Forston both will turn pro. Miami is not playing in a bowl this season, so both of their college careers are over.

The Miami Herald reports that both have hired agent Drew Rosenhaus, which under NCAA rules means they wouldn’t be able to change their minds and return to college football.

Streeter led the Hurricanes with 46 catches for 811 yards and eight touchdowns this season, and he led the ACC with 17.6 yards per catch. Forston had a promising sophomore season in 2010 but was limited to only three games this year with a knee injury.

  1. Not a great decision by these two. Streeter isn’t going higher than 4th round unless he runs an unreal time at the combine. One more year and he could have really improved his ball skills. I don’t even remember hearing Forston’s name called this year. Good luck to both.

  2. Whoever drafts Streeter is gunna get a steal. Even tho another year would had done him some good, kids a stud either way. He’s gunna ball on ppl in the NFL.

They saw the handwriting on the wall for some major sanctions against Miami.

You would think so but that’s no. Miami is going to be in a pretty good position next year in comparison to other programs getting sacntioned (I.E Ohio State). All reports have been positive for the most part and besides scholarship reductions, there shouldn’t be any severe sanctions that will hurt the momentum of the new coaching regime. Which btw has a top 10 recruiting class this coming year. And as for Streeter, he left because he knew that he wasn’t going to get any taller or faster so he might as well take advantage of his NFL body now. It’s was a monetary decision more than anything.
