The only undefeated team in the league through 13 weeks doesn’t play defense. I’m pretty sure outscoring your opponent is how games are won.

That’s pretty poor offensive production from a QB who was NEVER sacked. Baltimore’s D played lights out, no doubt about that.

I hope we meet again in Feb. 49ers were arguably a chop-block away from winning this game.

49ers defense is that good?

Week 13, when the 49ers played the Ravens:

Ravens had 58 plays from scrimmage, and gained 253 yards (4.53 yards per play).
49ers had 54 plays from scrimmage, and gained 170 yards (3.15 yards per play).

Net rushing yards:
Ravens – 92
49ers – 74

Net Passing Yards:
Ravens – 161
49ers – 96

Comp-Att-Int:
Ravens – 15-23-0
49ers – 15-24-1

Passing yards/attempt:
Ravens – 7.0
49ers – 2.9

Passing TDs:
Ravens – 1
49ers – 0

Yep. 49ers had a suffocating defense in that game.

We won’t even discuss the 9 sacks the Ravens had on the 49ers QB, vs. the 0 the 49ers had on Flacco.

I’m not sure that the 49′er fans have much to bitch about. After looking at your schedule, I can only come up with three quality wins. Your wins over the Bengals, Lions and Giants are your only wins over teams with a .500 record or better. And these three teams may all be .500 by the end of the season. It will be interesting to see if they can get past the Steelers and the Seahawks in the coming weeks.
Believe me, the 49′ers are having a great season and are playing above everyone’s expectations but to have them ranked higher is silly. Winning the NFC West is like putting whipped cream on a dog turd.

What a laughable statement. Take away Rogers and the Packers are a mediocre offense with a terrible defense. With Rogers, they are dominant, but the Giants probably would have won that game easily if Flynn were playing.

Hey … I’m a Packers fan … but.

It’s still very hard to anticipate that they could move the ball down the field against the Giants from their own 20 into easy field goal range in only +/- 42 seconds and then have to huddle with the officials to run seconds off the clock before calling a time out. It’s not because the Giants were shocked that Green Bay would be throwing long sideline pass patterns.

Holy Cow!!

Makes me wonder how many points the Pack would score if they ran every possession that way.

Praying that Desmond, Hawk and Charles Woodson heal up and we can find a way to put a stop to those +45 yard post pattern completions.

9ers hung 48 points on the Bucs. How many points did the #5 Saints hang on the Bucs in two attempts? 47 total over 2 games. How many wins did the #5 Saints have against the Rams? 0.

49ers fan here, and I agree with these rankings but Baltimore Fans need to come down to earth…Baltimore BARELY beat the 9ers at home with the 9ers coming off of a short week and travelling East so stop hating.

If you’re a Baltimore fan you need to be concerned about your offense, which is wildly inconsistent and struggles when Rice can’t get going. If you’re defense can’t keep the game close you’re in trouble – and every team at the top with you has a proven QB (except for the 49ers)

I’d love to see a re-match between the 9ers and the Ravens in the Super Bowl. I don’t think the Ravens could beat the 9ers again on a neutral field.

Pats lack the explosiveness on offense that Pittsburgh does, sure Gronkowski is good, and he presents major matchup issues, but the duo of Antonio Brown and Mike Wallace can beat you deep on every play.

Besides even if the offenses are a push I’d much rather see Flacco and the offense go up against the Patriots than the Steelers.

AFC is a 2 horse race! Period! Road to super bowl XLVI will either be Ravens or Steelers…They’re the 2 most complete teams. Not only in the AFC, but in the entire NFL. Both have great defenses. Steelers beat the Ravens three times on their way to a SB…I’m sure the Ravens would love to return the favor.

The Ravens D is slightly better that the Steeler D this year, although the Steelers O is better than the Raven O – especially at QB and WR.

Steelers will not be at all intimidated to play at BMore in the AFC Championship game.

San Fran Guy saying the 9′ers should be #2-Baltimore beat your A$$ and would do so again, you are not #2

Andre’sJohnson and the guys saying “whos # 1 seed now?” Baltimore beat your a$$ with your starting qb and B’more will be the #1 seed if they win out based on best conference record and head-to-head.

New England guy- both games mentioned were at Gillette and the game you won was in 3 OT’s . M&T is a completely different set of circumstances.

Pittsburgh guy- thats just always a slugfest and you just never know, nothing to say to Pittsburgh guy.

Losing to the Rams did drop the Saints. I believe they fell several spots to #9 after that loss. They have worked their way back up by winning 4 games in a row, three against teams contending for a playoff spot.

The Lions played the Saints without Suh, Houston, and Delmas. They lost Fairley after the 1st quarter (which he dominated – 3 tackles, 1sack). They lost Kevin Smith who was averaging 5ypc in the game. And not to mention the refs did not call the offsides and let the Saints block a field goal, a Saint throws a full blown PUNCH at the Lions- no call, late hit on Stafford – No Call – Facemask on Maurice Morris – No Call. But they sure did not miss the OFFENSIVE pass interference which wiped out over 100 yards of offense. I would say considering all that, the Lions should move UP in the Power Rankings. If they play like that the rest of the year they will easily beat the Vikings, Chargers and Raiders and go 10-6.
