This is the norm in king county. I lived there for fourteen years. Non-theft misdemeanor s fall to the bottom of the list. Took 2 years before I recieved a letter in the mail saying to appear to court

Weird thing is he played for the Colts from roughly 02 until last year and the Indy cops are not known for “taking care of their athletes”. Week after Dom Rhodes rushed for 115 yards in the Super Bowl victory the cops gave him a DUI. I wonder if he ever got a free pass in Indy.

over a year wait to charge is a bit much–it was a U of W police officer (Barney Fife)–he should’ve played the ‘don’t you know who I am’ card–that would’ve got the charges filed in a week

If I was a pro athlete and got a DUI, I really wouldn’t care, either. They can afford any fine. The whole Leonard Little story kinda lends credence to that.

How do you not post the most telling comment from Brock at the scene?

Brock said to the officer:”Every time I have been stopped out east, Chicago, New Jersey and Philadelphia,” replied Brock, “the cops either followed me home or gave me a ride.”

That should be the thing focused on, cops letting NFL stars get away with DUI’s.
