Still no practice for Adrian Peterson

Vikings' Peterson pushes off Raiders' Sheppard as he leaps into the endzone for a touchdown during the first quarter of their NFL football game in Minneapolis Reuters

More than two weeks ago, Vikings running back Adrian Peterson suffered a high ankle sprain, in a game against the Raiders.  He has missed the two games played since then.

He also missed practice again on Wednesday.

We reported on Sunday that Peterson is expected to miss at least one more game.  Peterson told KFAN on Tuesday that he’s at roughly 70 percent, via the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

But Peterson holds out hope of playing when the Vikings face the Lions in Detroit, even though he’s 30 percent away from 100 percent.  It would make much more sense for Peterson to wait until he’s fully healthy.  The Vikings are playing for nothing but pride at this point.

Then again, pride has helped make Peterson one of the best running backs the league has seen in the past 20 years.

Shut it down, AP. 4 games left and staring down a top 3 pick? Shut it down.

The man signed a huge contract….if he can play, then he sould honor that contract. No matter what their record is. Teams need to play fair, no matter what their record is. Teams have an obligation to try to win, no easy wins for the playoff hopefulls!

Hey there’s an idea, stop trying so we can get a high draft pick. I bet your fat and greasy

hes the only superstar we have

Who cares. The Vikings suck and AP is going to have plenty more of these injuries before the Queens can unload that stupid contract. They should have traded the guy when they had the chance. Two dumbest organizations in the NFL are the Titans and the Vikes……doubling down on RBs in a passing league.

Peterson has an injury but he’s the best RB in the league and unlike so many players, it will only be the medical staff that stops him from playing. Your argument should be directed at the Colts, they’ve had 2 months to sign an NFL caliber QB and have intentionally not did it. I think this is one of the biggest travesties in the NFL in the the past 20 years.

From a lions plan, i really think you should rest up your ankle and make sure its 100% when you come back :)

i think the lions win either way, but itll be alot easier with AP not in there lol

whoops ***lions fan**** not plan lol

let him heal and trade him after the season in a herscel walker type trade to fix our vikes. He’s great/hell of a guy but we may get really good players back to help the vikes out of the pit. Then add peyton…ha

They already are getting a high draft pick if Peterson plays or not.

And why exactly is he going to have these injuries? He has missed fewer games in his 5 seasons in the league than Aaron Rodgers missed his first.

They need a runner like Peterson to take the pressure off their young QB as he matures. When/if he does then they will have a duel attack for defenses to handle (wide-outs & o-linemen please apply).

Despite it being a passing league their are times a strong ground game is needed – bad weather, running out the clock, keeping your defense/opponents offense off the field.

Other than the fat 7 yr. $100 mil / $36 mil guaranteed contract AP has, can anyone else give me a sound reason why he would want to play one more down this season for this third rate, rag bag, rag tag organization?

    Hey Friedrichs! your team sucks

I’m pretty sure that AP will not play this week. Why? Because he’s on my fantasy roster!
