Thursday games are Hinky (that’s with a capital ‘H’.) SF and Bal’more both looked completely off during their Thursday outing; the game was just plain awful. Neither Pittsburgh nor Cleveland executed well, at least on offense.

Expect Ratbird (aka Baltimore NeoBrowns) fans to come back here on Christmas day when Pittsburgh has to play St. Louis on a five day week with long travel between outings. That game will also be “surprisingly close.” And it will show nothing about how good or how bad the Steelers are.

I do support going for it on 4th down in a regular season game. You need to find out now rather than later what it takes to score a TD in a pressure situation.

As stupid as Steelers were in the type of runs they called at that goalline sequence, Browns were even dumber. They should have gone for it on 4th down to start the game. They also should not have punted on the next drive from the 40. And the worst was putting a dazed McCoy back in. I think Seneca has a much better chance of scoring a TD than a dazed McCoy or undazed McCoy. Quite frankly, the Steelers D didn’t impress me that much. Browns were just that incompetent.

I’m a Steeler fan and that was pretty funny.

I’d say maybe look for a new head coach and/or qb, but I’m from Pittsburgh and hate the Browns so I really don’t care what ya do!

Once again we bid a good night to all our Ravens fan friends who got sucked in to believing the Brownies might pull this out at the end… between this one and the Chiefs game, wonder which one hurts more?

Yeah because he’s clearly dominaing the games and deciding how the playoffs are layed out each week. (Ala Wallace, Brown, Jennings, Nelson, Nicks, and Cruz). He’s a true talent, but face the music…. He’s never even going to sniff a ring playing in DetRiot. The Lions are and always will be the Bears and Packers little bytches in that division.

Found a way to lose the game? Give me a break. The Steelers defense locked down the Browns all night, you make it sound like they were in control all game.

The defense shut them down and the Browns won the field position battle through most of the game pinning the Steelers deep. The hobbled Ben struggled to flip the field.

The steelers were obviously the better team.

The Browns couldn’t get out of their own way all night. Epic fail on the first drive and a total brain freeze by Shurmur to 1) put a concussed QB back in the game and 2) take out a guy who had made a couple of huge plays to get you in position to score and win the game to begin with.

The Steelers are one and done.

Yes, there is. It’s Hakeem Nicks & Victor Cruz. They have more catches, TDs, and 16 less yards, but have played 1 less game then Brown and Wallace.

They’re great but I’d take Jennings/Nelson and maybe Nicks/Cruz ahead of them.

4 fumbles, 3 interceptions, multiple red zone misses? This game was nearly unwatchable! Kudos to the Steelers for “finding a way”‘ but given the Browns performance, that’s like giving your buddy a high five for sinking a layup. Cleveland deserves better!

It ‘s nice to see that Ben’s ankles are as flexible as his definition of rape! They’ll go as far as Ben’s ankle will take them in the playoffs.

Nice job forcing the fumbles against two of our most sure handed players. As for Ben’s drama-ness, I wouldn’t have been surprised if he came out and ran for 100yds, although that roll-up was ugly. It’ll be good to have an extended week to heal up.

It’s a shame cause I’m beginning to realize how good of quarterback he is. If the sideshow could just go away, itd be easier to tolerate him.

Protecting players starts with clear and consistent rules. Both have been largely lacking. I think a huge part of that is having one person mainly responsible for judging what the rules should be and how to enforce and punish them.
