Must be NBC wants to get back into NFL broadcasting more than one game per week, and will go to any lengths to protect the NFL.

Maybe that is why NBC doesn’t like to show replays where the referees obviously have blown a call.

McCoy WAS running with the football! Harrison should be fined for crown of the helmet but not suspended. The Browns should lose a 4th rounder for not taking him out. That was ridiculous not testing the guy.

Just my opinion.

1. How about the Brown’s player that clubbed Ben in the head late and got a penalty, is he also up for suspension too?

2. A bigger issue is the Browns allowing McCoy back in the game so soon, ie TWO PLAYS. How do you test for a possible concussion in that short a time? If the Steelers did that, can you imagine what people would be saying about them right now?

Or is it only ok to protect passers and let the best improvising qb’s get killed every time they try to make something happen?

That being said, please let me address all of the uneducated posters here who trash talk – grow up, it’s a game. At the end of the day, it is entertainment for you – not your livelihood.

If mccoy wasnt trying to pull hanky panky, he wouldn’t of been knocked into next week! He tried to act like he was running a he knew damn well he was gonna pass it! This is getting ridiculous. Ask big ben how soft my texans defense is. harrison is to selfish to just make the tackle. He has to go for the highlighy reel every time. And if its his argument that its legal to hit a runner with the helmet, that means its still intentional. I know its legal, for now, but is it really his mission to end every person he tackles career? In 5-10 years when he’s braindead, he just might wish he had used a decent tackling technique. Or when his career is ended by his own tackle. 100k and 2 games out for the bum. Let the steeler whining continue….

The NFL-poster boys like Brady, Manning and even Ray Lewis (who had ties to a murder) are treated differently.

Let’s take Lewis for example. He knocked Hines Ward out of the game with a blatant helmet to helmet hit on a defenseless receiver and he didn’t even get a penalty.

Lewis had some notable quotes about how he’s not going to change the way he plays, etc. The hit and quotes weren’t replayed on ESPN, NBC or any other networks. Would the same treatment be applied to James Harrison. NO.

the only reason he threw the ball is because he was still behind the line of scrimmage and still had that option. it’s called smart qb play. make the defense defend as long as possible (or as long as it takes) to make a good play. clearly, he had to be looking upfield to even know there was an eligible receiver in the vicinity. defenseless players are those who are in effect distracted by their attempt to make a play and do not get a fair opportunity to prepare/brace for contact. if he was running the ball and looking at it (and not the defenders who are chasing the ball) while doing so, he’s an idiot. judging by what i’ve seen before, colt mccoy does in fact have enough sense to look at the defenders when/while he scrambles………

Who knows even if a fine/suspension will be handed down, if at all.

Seymore punches a guy for the second year in a row, and no suspension (30k fine, Seymore laughs)?

Suh gets suspended (he deserved it), but no fine for Titus Young for hitting a guy in the face?

Ray Lewis levels Hines Ward. Clearly helmet to helmet. Not even a 5k fine?

I could go on and on. Doesn’t make any sense.

Also if harrison goes in with a shoulder a colt could have juked him and broken the tackle.

I wonder what excuse he’ll use to defend Harrison this time.

Harrison is who he is: a head hunter. Plain and simple.

I say fine Harrison, but suspension for this is ridiculous. By the way, his hit on Fitzpatrick last year was clean as hell where he intentionally went for his chest area. So what else is left for Harrison to hit? The QB’s crotch? I have seen more Steelers taken out of games and the other team was not penalized for them. Example: Hines Ward last year and this year. Heath Miller – last year Ravens game and this year the Cinci game(which was a legit hit on Heath, but I have seen some games where even a non helmet hit was flagged because the nitpicky ref felt the receiver was defenseless).

It doesn’t matter if he was defenseless or not, YOU CAN’T SPEAR ANY PLAYER.

Got news for ya, pal. The Niners are not the least bit intimidated by the Steelers. Hope Harrison and Roethlisberger (God, did I spell that right?) both play. Looking forward to it. Going to be a low scoring, hard-hitting, defensive game. Could go either way.

None of that changes the fact that this perpetual head-hunter should be suspended. That hit with the crown of the helmet to the face-mask was a disgrace. A proud franchise like the Steelers and their fans should be embarrassed.

All u people that are talking trash on J Harrison, have simply never played football. If u did, you must have been on the bench, or the on the extra pt team.
