Packers reserve tight end Andrew Quarless suffered a season-ending knee injury last week that could potentially threaten next season.

Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel writes that the damage was so severe that it’s very possible Quarless will miss all of 2012.

A fifth-round pick in 2010, Quarless had 21 catches last year but his role as a receiver was diminished with Jermichael Finley back this year. He’s waiting for swelling to go down before undergoing reconstructive knee surgery.
