Jake Long leaves with a back injury

Jake Long AP

The Dolphins’ quest to continue their rapid turnaround from 0-7 laughingstock to the owners of a respectable record took a hit in the first quarter of their game with the Eagles.

Left tackle Jake Long left the game with a lower back injury and has gone to the locker room. Long’s return is being called questionable by the Dolphins. Nate Garner replaced him in the lineup for Miami.

The Dolphins hold a 7-0 lead late in the first thanks to a blocked punt by Jimmy Wilson. The Dolphins got the ball in great field position and capitalized with a touchdown pass to Brandon Marshall.

Okay, they can fire Sparano for going for that 55 yard field goal. If you’re concerned about the big plays of the Eagles, why risk giving them a short field when you are dominating the field position/line of scrimmage?

Hey Mike, who the best 4-8 team in football today? Wasn’t that an eagles post?? U surely weren’t talking about Miami, were ya? Must’ve been giving Andy Reid his due…. No coach should ever be fired until they put together 2 back to back losing seasons. Or unless they get caught cheating and waste a first round pick on tim tebow….
