APOn Thanksgiving, Lions running back Kevin Smith suffered a sprained ankle. But he played last weekend against the Saints.
That doesn’t mean he’ll be able to continue to play with the injury. Per a league source, Smith currently is not expected to play when the Lions host the Vikings.
Smith missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, and Smith participated in practice on a limited basis on Friday. He was seen icing the ankle during last weekend’s game in New Orleans.
Smith absence would mean more reps for Maurice Morris and Keiland Williams and whatever other warm body the Lions have at the position. It also could mean that Matthew Stafford will throw more passes into the teeth of a toothless Minnesota secondary.

this is why he was sitting on his couch..
I feel bad for Kevin, he’s been snake bitten throughout his career. Thank god the Lions don’t need to run the ball today against the queens! =D

Stafford is a good QB and I see the Vikings going punch less in this game. Lions 27, Vikings 9. Look for Joe Webb to QB for a portion or all of this game.
