Lawrence Vickers shoves Adam Jones, says Pacman spat on him

Bengals cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones and Texans fullback Lawrence Vickers had an altercation today in Cincinnati that, according to Vickers, was motivated by Jones spitting on him.

As several players on both teams fought for a loose ball in the middle of a pile, Jones and Vickers, removed from the pile, got in each other’s faces. At one point, with all of the officials trying to sort out the loose ball, Vickers shoved Jones.

At first it appeared that Vickers got away with a cheap shot, but it may have been Jones who got away with something: Ross Tucker, who’s working the game for Sports USA Radio, tweeted that the sideline reporter heard Vickers tell Texans coach Gary Kubiak that he pushed Jones away after Jones spat in his face.

If that’s true, and the NFL can verify it, Jones will be hearing from the league office. Certainly not for the first time.

It is Pacman Jones showing his TRUE character once more. Lets talk suspension.

If it’s true and can be verified, than Jones should be hearing from the league office.

If it can’t be verified then Vickers should be hearing from the same office about making false accusations.

Ya know, Pac-Man, when your coach says he wants to you to emulate Sean Taylor, that wasn’t what he was talking about.

Spitting on someone should be a 8 game suspension. Disgusting and has no purpose. You get that upset, be a man and fight the guy.

C’mon….he was making it rain….get it right!

    Leave him alone….he deserves a second chance….wait, a third chance….I mean……

You can’t tell anything from looking at the video…. Leach pulls Jones out of the pile, they get in each others face and then Leach shoves Jones…. Yates and three other O- Linemen were standing right there and didn’t seem to notice…. although Leach does point to his face right away after he shoves Jones… but wouldn’t the three other players have done something if it happened?

I was going to be sarcastic and suggest someone make a lame and totally outdated “make it rain” joke, but someone actually did it before I could post.

    I’ll try harder next time.

Thanks for writing an article about the Bengals being up 16-3 at halftime over the Texans.

Or of Maualuga’s forced fumble and recovery on the two that turned the game around.

Or of Ced Benson with 92 yards rushing in the first half against the best run D in the league.

No its cool, try to get some cheap clicks about some Adam Jones crap.

Don’t get me wrong, Jones is a disgusting human being and a total piece of trash, but there is a lot of other stuff to write about in this game.

You can take the Bengal off the short bus, but you can never take the short bus off of the Bengal…

i didnt even know he was still in the league

  17. eleventyeight says: Dec 11, 2011 2:40 PM

Or Vickers is flat-out lying and counting on Jones’ bad repututaion to work in Vickie’s favor…

  18. steelcitymasterrace says: Dec 11, 2011 2:41 PM

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: just contract the Bengals. They offer nothing to the rest of the league except a team full of turds, nobody watches their games, and they are a laughing stock.

  19. joetoronto says: Dec 11, 2011 2:44 PM

And some people wonder why Palmer wanted out.

The Bengals keep collecting turds like Pacman.

Bengals are 1-6 vs. Teams with a winning record.

They are who we thought they were.
