wolfiewolfgang says:
I’ve been a Bronco fan since the early 70′s. I can’t take it anymore. Tebow is the new Farve. It’s not just what he does but how the media fawns over him. I’m out. You win.
The remainder of this year I will cheer for the Colts to complete their perfect season and then anyone but the Broncos. As much as that hurts I just can’t take it.
The last straw was a local news program calling it, “the Mile-High Messiah”.

Obviously Tom Brady is far superior Christian than Tim Tebow.

Tom Brady is the best prayer on earth. He clearly outprayed Tebow yesterday.

Besides, how else do you explain three superbowl wins and Giselle Bundchen.

Tebow hasn't won squat, and I think he's gay.

Those who don't understand Tim Teabow also don't understand God. How could you? You don't have the capacity. You like to image God is limited to a certain place and time and can't handle a football game and starving children at the same time because you as human beings can't. You don't like God to interfere or be real if it comes to what you want the freedom to do. But starving kids that's God's problem to solve; football that's your concern because you could care less for starving kids unless you can use them to prove a point (that statement is confined to the hypocrites not the truly charitable).

Why would God us football and Tim Teabow? Because all who will have to pay for their own sins are in more peril than starving children. No one gets out of this life alive whether you starve to death or die in your sleep cozy in your bed after watching football. God takes the opportunity of reaching you where you spend your time to get the message to you. Cause you' re here on PFT instead of where the starving children are!!!!!

nfloracle says:

Rushmatic, “turds” is the proper spelling for “terds,” unless you live in Boston, where “terds” is acceptable since that’s how it’s pronounced there.

With that out of the way, how can anyone with more than five functioning brain cells believe a God exists who would help a football player win a stupid game while allowing countless numbers of children to die every single minute of the year around the world of starvation and worse… much, much worse?

It isn't Tebow. It's the politics and the preaching surrounding him that are annoying. This preacher's response is just one example. Believers, if it works for you, fantastic. The rest of us have tried it. Other things work for us now. Many of us, by the way, remember that Superbowl commercial from last year. The people who want to control women are proposing a new Personhood amendment for next year.
Pray as you wish, sheep! The moment anyone ordained in any religion begins to make the connection between the play of a sports figure to that player's relationship with God, there must be a line drawn in the sand. In a world with 11 billion people, I am befuddled by the notion that God's infinite and power is relegated to the play of a football player.

Michael Irvin espoused his religious views all over the football field and media and people just shrugged it off. Now, we get the All-American kid doing it and somehow he's a folk hero for Jesus. There are a wealth of dichotomies in the Bible so one man's claim is another man's argument. Let it be, Tim Tebow. Use your position in life to keep making a positive impact on the world; that is far more commendable than turning a football field into a pulpit.

I am a typical Agnostic that only hopes for the best in a world where so many put out their worst. Tim Tebow is a tremendous role model for humanity but goodness is not relegated to Christianity alone.

Many of you people miss the point. I'm pretty sure God does not care about the outcome of a game. But God can make one stronger, make one believe and give one the persereverance to overcome doubt.

I am by no means a "Bible beater", but there is something about this kid. As a Gator fan, I am used to it. He has IT!

Nothing inspires commentary and hatred like mentioned God or Tim Tebow. God's favor? Not even a biblical concept, he's stealing that from Joel O'Steen! He's been saying that for YEARS!

I love God and I like Tim Tebow a lot, met him, his mom, his brother, and dad when he played here at Nease H.S. in NEFL. Pretty low-key folks, and super-nice. But definitely NOT a Gator fan, BIG 10 all the way!

People are blowing this up way more than it needs to be....I mean, we're quoting Tim's pastor about FOOTBALL? Really?

What about Aaron Rogers pastor? I'm glad Tim is winning, and that he is doing it playing a different, old, weird style of football that is hard to measure. Heck, he may even win a Super Bowl someday.

But really, take the magnifying glass off, you're not going to find controversy here. Oh, guess what, Tim Tebow just farted! God is pissed!

Sheesh!

I can’t really express my hate for ignorant, drooling fools that think this way. Why? Cause no way I’d stand a chance of this post not getting deleted. At least have have a shot only saying this much.

You can't make any kind of logical assumptions about what will or won't be censored here. profootballwalk is allowed to post--speaking facetiously--that God wants children to be raped, but I'm censored for saying casual football fans are only interested in fantasy stats and not in the nuances of the game. Logic and maturity play no role in moderation on this site.

Now people are saying Tebow can't beat the better teams in the league. I guess for the haters that's a step up from saying he can't play in this league. The fact that we now have 4 NFL QBs who may pass Marino's passing record indicates to me how pass happy the league has become. Broncos are a reflection of the way football use to be played. You may not like the style, but it did exist at one time in this league. I for one like a more balanced approach, rather than the pinball madden video game that we see now. IT'S A JOKE.

Glad to see so many commenters scoffing at the notion that God favors one football team over another. Now, if we could only get the same outcry when some politico/evangelist claims that God favors America over other nations.

"One of his pastors in Colorado" Who is the guy? Is Wayne Hanson really close to Tebow or is he misrepresenting himself? Did anyone ask those question?

God isn't choosing sides, Tebow is a believer and through the gift that God has given him, he is doing well. So YES God is helping him win by providing him with those gifts. God has provided every athelete a gift, but most chose to think that they need to thank themselves for that gift, Tebow knows that if it weren't for God, he wouldnt have that gift. God has blessed everyone that steps onto that field, it's refreshing to see someone thank God for it and not be ashamed to admit it.By the way, we are all sinners, believers and non-believers.

"having favor" does NOT equate to "wins" ... it merely means that by living according to God's Word, Tim Tebow will be blessed.

Suggesting otherwise is to be inciteful (rather than INSIGHTful).
