Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, back from his two-game suspension, said today that he’s aware that much of the NFL world is criticizing him for dirty play. But he doesn’t care.

It’s not going to make me cry at night,” Suh said today.

In a statement posted on the Lions’ web site, Suh said he’s looking forward to the last three games of the season -- and the playoffs, where he believes the Lions are headed.

“I look forward to being a part of it for the last three games that we have for sure and obviously, if we take care of business, we look forward to getting into the playoffs,” Suh said.

Suh was defiant immediately after stomping on Green Bay’s Evan Dietrich-Smith on Thanksgiving, and he still maintains that he doesn’t need to change the way he plays.

“I think I can pretty much stick with that, playing within the rules and continuing to play between the whistles,” Suh said.

Suh was also involved in a car crash in Portland during his suspension. He refused to answer questions about that incident, and he said that in general he isn’t concerning himself with how he is portrayed in the media.

“It doesn’t always involve you guys,” he said. “It’s been handled. You guys make your speculations and then you report what you think is right and not right.”
