On another note, it appears Reggie Herring will be executing the defensive gameplan in Wade’s absence.. he’s been with Wade for quite a while, you Texans fans should be in good hands.

In Wade We Trust.

I will say our Linebackers coach Reggie Herring who is taking over the duties is the perfect man for the job. He has been with Wade for years and knows what needs to do be done.

We can’t be naive to think Wade didn’t put this weeks and next weeks gameplan together. Even if it was from the surgery table. This is Wade’s Defense!

An obvious culprit in his health issues may be his weight. I know they work long hours and do a lot of sitting but why don’t these coaches demand the same discipline of themselves that they do of the players? How hard is it to hit the treadmill for 30 minutes a day while watching film?

Mix in a grilled chicken sandwich.

Regardless of our draft picks, Wade Phillips was by far our best acquistion of the year…hope you get well Wade! Saddens me a bit that I will be going to my first game of the year this sunday and I won’t see ya out there.

With that being said, he’s just more proof that just b/c you’re a great defensive coordinator doesn’t mean you’ll make a great HC. I sure hope no one is able to wrestle Zimmer away from my Bengals. lol However, I wouldn’t blame Zimmer for running as fast as he can away from Mike Brown. lol

Don’t get too worked up over the unreasonable fickleness of fans, howley. Gary Kubiak’s approval rating last year was probably about ten percent. People were calling him all kinds of names. Now I’d imagine more than ninety percent of Texans fans are pleased with the job he’s doing.

People get pissed off and say stupid crap.

To hold Internet blog commenters to some sort of high moral standard is a little silly. And going back to find their quotes from a year ago is really silly.

The people who are clicking the thumbs down button are Cowboys fans who can’t stand the fact that every facet of the Texans’ organization is better than theirs, especially the defense. Those Dallas fans are realizing now that Phillips wasn’t the problem last year. Jason Garrett sandbagged the offense to get the head coach job, and Jerry Jones is a baffoon.

Wade Phillips is probably the most popular man in Houston right now. Get well, coach.

2 weeks? in middle of season? must be urgent. has to be some type of surgery. From experience, angioplasty is only a few days and regular bypass is more than 2 weeks. I heard there was some special type of bypass that does not open up sternum. maybe? Could be cancer surgery… that is urgent and 2 weeks sounds about right.

Average Head Coach, Great Coordinator. He’s done an incredible job with that defense down in Houston. That defense has kept them afloat with all the injuries the offense has suffered. Hope he has a speedy recovery. The Texans are going to need him come January!
