Why is marijuana measured in pounds (English measurements) but cocaine measured in kilograms (metric measurements)?

According to the World Drug Report, 2011 – yes, there is such a thing – a gram of coke goes for a little more than $200 a gram in the US. If true, the gross on a kilo is $200,000 that he paid $25,000 grand for. And if he was looking for 5 to 10 kilos a week that would add up to $50 to $100 million a year in gross for something that costs around $10 million to acquire.

Yeah, I get there are multiple layers to pay but that’s a big stack of bills!

Gentlemen, if Hurd was planning to buy that much weed — two tons a month — it would be my guess that he’s pretty much at the top of the weed chain, i.e. his cost is going to be about as low as it gets per pound. By the time the devil’s lettuce gets to you and your RUSH2112 bong in suburbia, the mark-up is considerable.

Dirt weed? He may be a drug dealer, but you don’t have to insult the man.
