Kellen Clemens is a starter again

Once upon a time, Kellen Clemens was a “quarterback of the future” in New York.

He started eight games in 2007, then Brett Favre arrived, and Clemens has made only one more start since. Until now. (Excited yet?)

The Rams are expected to start Clemens on Sunday with Sam Bradford (ankle) officially doubtful after not practicing all week. Bradford suffered a setback in his ankle during Monday night’s loss to the Seahawks. Clemens is on his third team this year.

A.J. Feeley is out, which means that Tom Brandstater will likely backup Clemens. Defensive ends James Hall and Chris Long are both questionable.

All of the above is good news for the Bengals, who desperately need a win in St. Louis to stay in the AFC playoff mix.
