The Giants haven’t been able to carry their momentum from the Cowboys game over to this week.

The team trails 17-3 at halftime after a miserable first half against the Redskins. The Giants secondary picked off two passes, but gave up too many big plays to Rex Grossman.

Hakeem Nicks dropped a would-be long score, and the Giants offense hasn’t been able to stay on the field. They lost tight end Jake Ballard to a knee injury during the first half. His return is questionable. Special teamer Devin Thomas was also taken off the field on a stretcher after the final play of the first half. He was able to move his arms to salute the crowd.

This Giants team hasn’t been able to handle success this year. We’ll see if they have another big comeback in them.
