Getty ImagesPeyton Manning was cleared to throw again, earlier this month. And now he has been putting on the pads and throwing to teammates.
Jay Glazer of FOX reports that Manning spent part of last week throwing to teammates after practice, in pads.
Manning, who continues to recover from neck surgery, still wants to play this season. To the extent, however, that he’s motivated by trying to help coach Jim Caldwell save his job, that may not be as critical if the Colts can hold on against the Titans.

How poetic would iy be if he came back the final week and they finished 1-15?
“that he’s motivated by trying to help coach Jim Caldwell save his job”

More like motivated to save his OWN job at Indy.
This is insulting to everyone’s intelligence.
Great news. ……and here comes our first win today!! Go Colts!!!!!!!!!!!
Yippee
I thought he threw in the pads at the beginning of the year?
Sounds great, when does he, “Throw in the towel?”
Wake me up when he has a winning record in the postseason.
Whats he getting ready for the playoffs ?
Call me when Harrison or Suggs hits him with their pads…

After watching this season, it’s pretty amazing he even made it to the playoffs 10 straight years with this dumpster fire of a team…
who needs him? they are winning a game without him.
I figured him to be a tampon, not pads, kind of guy.
So much for poetry!
