One bad game from the Packers and the Saints fan come pouring in along with the rest of the Packers haters. I would have rather lose to the Chiefs than the Rams. And you guys constantly talk about Brees being better than Rodgers yet got stuff by the Rams. Plus all this talk about Rodgers falling flat on his face and being average when his line break down. Invade ya have forgotten the Saints have a much better line.

Rodgers looked like any other QB in football yesterday, without the usual cushy protection he enjoys. (There was a play vs. the Giants where he could’ve had EIGHT seconds if he wanted to set and throw.) Now he’s got to face less-than-perfect protection like so many other QBs, and he’s shown to be average. Ordinary. Nothing to write home about.

Wait, are you talking about the Packers O-line that allows the 9th-most sacks in the league at 37? Is it that O-line?

I know Packer fans dont want to hear it, but losing this game is 1000 times better than losing in the playoffs with history so close!

I’ve never understood this backwards reasoning. How would New England losing a game in the regular season have had any impact on the Giants’ pass rush in the Super Bowl?

I agree. The Patriots made it all the way to the Super Bowl and held the Giants to 17 points. They lost fair and square (and I was glad), but let’s no act like they couldn’t handle the pressure or anything. They just got beat.

It’s kind of similar with the Colts of 2009. They sat their players while at 14-0, and they (rightfully) caught flak for it. But some people say them losing the Super Bowl was “karma” for that. Karma? They made it to the freaking Super Bowl! If karma was involved they’d have been one-and-done.

When it comes to resting/playing for 16-0, no one can agree. Half the people say go for it, look what happened to the Colts. The other half say don’t, look what happened to the Patriots. The fact is, a two-team sample size isn’t large enough to conclude anything, other than the B.S. “karma” people throw around when things go how they desire.

The Pack needs to get healthy, if they do, they’ll be competitive — that’s all you can ask for. No one knows how the playoffs will shake out, so everyone stop it with this “they’ve peaked” and “one and done” talk. you have no idea, that’s why they play the games.

My worries boil down to pressure. Way too much on Rodgers, way too little on (insert opposing QB here.) They didn’t even get close to Orton yesterday. They need to get Clifton and Bulaga back, and Capers needs to figure out a way to get to the QB.

On tract with what N.O. Saints did in 2009 – went 13-0 then lost the last 3 to finish off 13-3 in regular season. (they knew they had the #1 seed so backed off the good players to save em). Went into Divisional playoffs with Cardinals and beat them 45-14, then they won Confenerence Championship over Vikings 38-28 in OT, then to the Superbowl with Colts 31-17.
Just because GB lost one game does not spell doom and gloom for them.

Did anybody really expect the Packers to go 13-0 as they did,I doubt it,a loss has occured now like all rational Packer fans thought would happen a few times at the beginning of the season,16-0 is unrealistic for any team in the NFL,it was a great run though, now that the weight of the football world is off their shoulders its time to get back to work and figure out how to beat the Bears and Lions.congrats to the Chiefs team,I hope it helps Crennel get the head coaches job next year.

How are the Chiefs “woeful”? They’re 6-8, despite losing their best player on offense and their 2nd best on defense before Week 2 was over. It’s still possible (maybe not probable) that they win their division. Sure they’ve been inconsistent, and it’s not like I expect them to make the playoffs, but they have a good defense when it’s not on the field all day and are far from “woeful”. This is the NFL… any given Sunday, folks.

Eh… I was surprised with how little I cared about the loss. They played bad and deserved to lose…end of story. We will see if they can re-focus now.

The talk up here is that they have been sandbaggin with the injuries….it cost them. Maybe their heads were getting a little big….they thought they could win without their best team on the field. Starks, Pickett and Bishop all could have played and they were held out cause it was ‘just the Chiefs’. Lesson learned.

The Pack are starting to suffer attrition. Too many injuries at important positions. GB is dangerously close to an early exit. They should win fairly easily next week (Bears) but probably won’t play starters (for fear of them being hurt) more than a half vs DET.
3rd string RT, 2nd string LT, 2nd string RG, no #1 WR, no Nick Collins and both ILB’s are banged up. I would be really careful with AR if I was McCarthy. When healthy the Pack are the best (but not unbeatable) but this beat up the Lombardi trophy is up for grabs.
