Andre Johnson out, Owen Daniels shaky for Thursday

The Texans don’t have to wait long before they try to erase the memory of their rough loss to the Panthers.

Houston faces the red-hot Colts on Thursday. Indianapolis is attempting to win a game that will only annoy most of their fans.

In theory, this should be a blowout. In reality, the Texans are starting their third-string quarterback without Andre Johnson in the lineup.

Coach Gary Kubiak announced Tuesday that Johnson won’t play. Tight end Owen Daniels is also shaky to play after missing practice Tuesday because a sore knee.

The Texans need to win to keep hope alive for a playoff bye. We’re going to be very interested to see how they respond to what was their most disappointing game of the year.
