Getty ImagesThe Giants started this season with the roster badly injured.
Whether they make the playoffs or not, they are going to finish the season that way too. They face the Jets on Saturday without linebacker Mark Herzlich, defensive end Osi Umenyiora, and tight end Jake Ballard.
Wide receiver Mario Manningham is doubtful, while running back D.J. Ware is questionable.
Ballard and Manningham’s injuries hurt quite a bit in this battle of New York. The Jets’ pass defense should be able to focus on stopping Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz. The Giants haven’t been able to run all year and rely too much on Eli Manning trying to complete low-percentage throws.
For the Jets backup running back Joe McKnight (shoulder/elbow) is officially questionable.

Frist to say
All teams are hurt what is new.
Wow, with all these injuries I don’t know why the Giants are doing so much trash talking.

Congratulations on being “frist”. I think the focus of the story was how banged up the Giants are (and have been all year). More so than many other teams.
For Christmas, I hope you get a computer with Spell-Check.
They have been short-handed all year, so why is this anything new!
Ballard being out is huge. The Jets couldn’t cover a tight end to save their lives. Or their season. Cue up a Brent Celek highlight if you’re curious.
Fortunately for the Giants, the Jets have been without a quarterback all year as well.
everything is coming up EAGLES babayyyyy
It’s weird how interesting the NFC East race got so fast…
the player that hurts the team the most is still on the field. his name is Eli, and he’s the runt of the litter.
What the near future holds for Giants:
- new coach
- new ( a lot ) of new players
The “Cough” era has come to an end…
Bottom line you got to play with what you have this time of year. Team that wants it the most and doesn’t turn the ball over wins, regardless of the injuries.
Giants will win this one.
when are the Giants not short-handed this season?
with all the dropped passes, they’ve been shorthanded all year
Sanchez has 28 tds and 13 interceptions
He’s officially ranked 9th out pf 32 qb’s
Keep hatin’ losers
He can set the NFL record for most playoff wins by a qb in his first 3yrs with 2 more this year.
Wouldn’t that ruin your day?????!!!!!!!
More news for the haters….
Dan Marino and Matt Ryan are tied for the Nfl record with 33 wins in their first 3 seasons
Mark Sanchez has 31 and could still pass them both this year.
WINNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
