Mankins to try left tackle after Light gets hurt in warmups

Patriots left tackle Matt Light wasn’t even listed on the Week 16 injury report. And yet he’s not available for New England’s game against the Dolphins.

Light is inactive after hurting his leg during warmups, according to our friend Tom Curran of

Rookie Marcus Cannon is active, but it looks like guard Logan Mankins will try to play left tackle for the first time as a pro. Starter Sebastian Vollmer is also inactive for the game.

Donald Thomas will replace Mankins at left guard.

The setup didn’t work great in the first series, as the Dolphins sacked Tom Brady twice.

UPDATE 1:41 p.m. ET: Now Mankins is out of the game with a leg injury. Nate Solder has moved to left tackle. Cannon is at right tackle. The Patriots are in rough shape.

    Frist to say
The Pats do a good job moving players around and making it work good coaching but poor GM he shouldn’t have to move people around if he had a little depth.
    Poor drafting.
