Patriots in big trouble against Dolphins

Don’t give the No. 1 seed in the AFC to the Patriots just yet.

Miami leads 17-0 midway through the second quarter on Sunday. Matt Moore has thrown a few nice deep balls, and the Patriots defense made a pair of huge pass interference penalties to extend one Dolphins drive.

On offense, New England has only one offensive line starter in his usual spot. Both starting tackles are out, and guard Logan Mankins got hurt during the first half. Tom Brady is 3-for-13 for 37 yards.  The Patriots have punted five times.

The Texans loss on Thursday night looms large now. The Patriots could afford to lose one game and still get a playoff bye.

But they need a big rally to keep control of that No. 1 seed in the AFC.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but if NE loses today, Baltimore has the driver’s seat for the #1 seed.

Of course, as soon as I smile at their misfortune, Cruz goes 99 yards against my Jets. Karma is a bitch.

Say what you will about the Dolphins and not being a good team..

But it seems like every year they bring the fight to the Patriots.

I know the dolphins are playing themselves out of a top 10 pic(which means no top tier QB) but damn am I glad to see them play some good football. The pieces are in play for a bright future, we just need a legit QB, maybe Peyton Manning from Indy?, he might only have 2-3 seasons left in him…..if his neck is healed

Brady is getting the lesson that Marino got for years…. O line makes or breaks everything…..

I don’t see too much wrong with the QB you got right now. You guys really putting it to the Pats. Brady has zero time to pass. Good job Fins.

New England is in trouble it hard to win with no O-line feel sorry for Brady.

Only QB in league that can play good behind a bad O-line is big ben! Don’t attempt it brady. Leave that to the trained professional!

This is the team ahead of the Saints in your power rankings?

    Sorry, I’m just bitter.

C’mon man, you didn’t think BB would allow the fins to win it FB did you?

Perhaps “rosey” has a concussion. Lets hire an independent neurologist to find out?

As a Dolphins fan, that meltdown in the second half was hard to swallow. The defense just collapsed, and after getting a ton of pressure on Brady in the first half, there was zero pressure on his in the second. It would have been a useless win for the Fins, so it’s not the end of world. I’m just glad that the Dolphins were able to compete with one of the best teams in the league. I like the Dolphins prospects next year if they can trade up for RG3 or Luck, improve the OL, and the defense continues to improve.
