Maybe he’ll get that chance, but the NFL tends to be pretty cruel about that… the 4 ints today and falling to 7-4 and putting up <200 again is a bad omen…..

I don’t disagree with anything you said. But, it’s only been 1o starts and really no offseason. Those numbers are not respectable in your third year as a starter, but IMHO they are for this point in his career. If after a full off season he’s got the same numbers after 8, maybe 4, games next year I think he’s benched if the Broncos have a decent alternative.

A respectable 84 QB rating, with 11 TDs and only 2 picks, while tacking on 600 yards and 5 TDs on the ground.

How can you possibly still doubt him?

he’s 7-3 as a starter, not 7-2… and that’s largely due to a top flight defense and running game streak….

his per game passing averages are:
83.6 rating
1.1 TD
134.9 yards

those are not respectable….. they are backup numbers…. at best…

and if it were anyone else, there would be rampant discussion about what Elway is gonna do about getting a real passer so they can make a real playoff run.

don’t get me wrong… I admire the guys devotion to his belief and his work ethic (which may eventually fix his poor passing numbers, if he gets enough time)

what I don’t buy into is ignoring the facts…. which will catch up with him soon if he doesn’t improve dramatically….

Tim Tebow can complete 9% of his passes for 12.5 yards and 3 picks and Denver can still win by 27. Why? because the Buffalo Bills will still have to play..

Gator, I would never wish a qb controversy on anyone (except the Bears), but Denver has to bring in at least 2 quarterbacks. While I am not a Tebow-basher, I (along with MOST objective fans) am far from sold.

If denver wins out and houston loses next week, you go to houston, where you lost already this year. remember? you couldn’t stop arian foster. 30 carries 155 yds and 1TD. REMEMBER THAT? FOOL!!!!!!!

It’s really not that bad for Buffalo at this time of year.

Yeah, I’d hate to be in Elway’s shoes too. There are a ton of QBs 7-2 this year. Plus, the other QBs in Tebow’s draft class are really tearing it up: Sam Bradford, Jimmy Clausen, Colt McCoy, Mike Kafka ect
