There was some debate in the wake of Monday night’s game between the Steelers and 49ers on the question of whether Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger took a pain-killing injection in order to play with a sprained ankle. (Ben says he didn’t.)

There can be no debate regarding whether Titans tailback Chris Johnson took a shot on Saturday in order to play against the Jaguars. Per a league source, he definitely did.

That said, Johnson was limited to only 56 yards rushing on 15 carries, most of which came in the second half. For the season, he’s 14 yards short of 1,000, which will at least allow Johnson to call himself CJ1K.

Johnson has had several great games this year, but for the most part he has been a shadow of the player he was in 2008, 2009, and 2010. He needs to get it back for next Sunday at Houston -- and the Titans need some help -- if he’s going to have a shot at getting to the postseason.
