Trust your guys but when they’re way out of line (60 passes a game from Sanchez is OUT OF LINE) you need to correct them and do it immediately.

You owe it to them as their boss.

This time last year all the gangsters where saying how bad the Jets would be due to all their free agents they couldn’t resign with their salary cap issues.

Missing this year are Brian Tomas, D-Wood, Cotch, B-Smith, T-Rich and B-Edwards. And every replacement has been sub par. But yet ppl forget what they were saying about last year’s cap and want to reassign the blame.
The team is short of talent in a lot of areas, without Fatman and Robin they would be far worse!!! anyone remember how even the great Favre tanked?

But yes Shotty has to go. Even i can predict the plays he calls from time to time.

Rex isn’t the problem. The deficiencies here are with the offensive playcalling and the drafting/signing, which aren’t his parts of the whole.

While I’m of the mind the Jets should have taken Freeman, not Sanchez, Schotty’s poor playcalling has me wondering if Sanchez wouldn’t be adequate or better with a competent OC. Like others have said: the line has at least one hole and Schotty refuses to gameplan ways to compensate for it. And, unless Rex is lying, Schotty diverged from what the gameplan was supposed to be by going pass early and often before the Jets were in a hole, despite how well they were doing running. Folks forget that, with all the big pass plays they’ve given up, the Giants weren’t that great at stopping the run, either.

He never challenges the opposing corners or safeties. Everything is inside ten yards. He uses Santonio Holmes like he’s Wayne Chrebet. He puts Sanchez back to throw 60 passes when the run game is wildly effective and the pass protection has been terrible for weeks.

If you watch Jets games, you know Tomlinson in the game means screen. You know Mulligan and/or Patrick Turner means run, etc. You’ve watched conservative gameplans against bad defenses like the New England Patriots, in two instances. It’s pathetic.

Sanchez has improved, statistically, across the board this season, in spite of a horrible offensive line and an overrated group of receivers. Burress is mostly finished, Keller consistently runs the wrong routes and has poor hands, and Green can’t catch out of the backfield. Sanchez has sucked primarily because he can’t get comfortable in the pocket, and he typically makes his first read and then checks down to the short option. That said, he’s improved his accuracy and decision making, and he has great pocket awareness. He still has a very good record of play in the playoffs. That’s not something you should discount with a guy who just turned 25 and was probably started too early. He seems to have a good attitude and work ethic.

He has reached the limits of his talent. On the other hand, in the proper scheme, Alex Smith as prospered. Even Trent Dilfer won a SB staying within very limited ability. I would give Sanchez another season under a different OC to see if his career can be saved, while drafting another QB. Can’t say Ryan is the problem yet, he is just trying to give his team a good reputation to live up to, and hopefully his troops will respond. Often, like the Eagles this year, it’s just a chemistry thing and the team will find it’s identity next season. Down year for the Jets vs. expectations.
