Fisher doesn’t do anything for me. As another member said, 6 winning seasons in 15 years doesn’t excite me. And Gruden was something like 25-34 after he won the Super Bowl in his first season with Tampa Bay.

What I really don’t like about Gruden is he never really drafted and developed players very well. He relied way too much on veteran players. And when he was gone from Oakland and Tampa Bay, he left those franchises in shambles.

As for Cowher, I see him going somewhere that already has a 3-4 defense in place. Somewhere like Miami or San Diego. Keep an eye on Kansas City as well.

You make it sound like winning in the NFL is easy. Allow me to educate you.

It isn’t.

A couple of those seasons the Oilers/Titans were 8-8, so that 6/15 is pretty misleading considering the team was going through a very chaotic move to Nashville (There was also an offseason where Tennessee was a whopping $50 million over the cap and had to cut bait on just about anyone of value, but I digress). Is Jeff Fisher the best coach on the market? I’d honestly say no. Is he one of the better candidates out there? I’d have to say yes, especially for a team with a stud running back.

rams had a lot of injuries, bucs just quit. bucs ownership is cheap.

rams need an OL. i would get new turf too. with that many injuries, the turf cant be helping.

the way i see it, there are openings in miami, jacksonville, and probly kc. not nec a good idea to let the players pick crennel.

expecting changes in tb, st. loo, indy and san dee.

always possible also in dallas, nyg, chicago, minnehaha, buffalo and oakland.

if cowher, fisher and gruden want jobs, they should be able to get jobs.

Add that to the Josh McDaniels poisonous hire and you get what happened in StL. He will end up being a hot commodity as a DC if he’s fired. Also every opening will be linked to Fisher, Gruden, and Cowher. The last two aren’t leaving their current media jobs at least this yeardue to lifestyle and money. Whoever hires Fisher will get mediocrity for their efforts

Spags is a good assistant coach, great guy, players love him, but as a head coach…we will have to wait until he gets a real NFL team, an injury free (relatively) year, and a manageable schedule. I would be inclined to give him another year and another draft, but Billy D. gives me no confidence. Even if the Rams get the first pick and send it to Cleveland for their entire draft, I don’t think Billy D. could improve the Rams enough.
Spags, enjoy your time back in NY and the head coaching job in 2013. Billy D., please turn out the lights on your way out of STL.
