My girlfriend just bought me a framed autographed picture of him for Christmas, and I will be hanging that up proudly. A great player, but an even greater person! I hope he changes his mind, if you have been watching Dolphins games then youd know hes been playing at a high level.

Mmm…might want to know what you are talking about there. Rice didn’t win it that year, Derrick Brooks did. I know, it was the only real joyous season for us Buccaneers fans. Probably the only time they will ever win a Superbowl, even though they had an inside/unfair advantage with Gruden, I will take it. That being said, Taylor was a great player in the league and I think he is Canton Bound, probably on the second or third try in.

I’m really happy about this as a Pats fan. He tormented TB for years and was a huge reason TB traditionally plays poorly against Miami. What a great player, wish he had come to my team. I hope he does make the HOF. If there are smart writers (still hate that writers vote this) he will be.

I will always remember Jason on the sidelines laughing at the Jet fans thinking the game was over, thinking the Dolphins had won, then, the Jets came back (as well as the fans) and won the game with minutes left to play-that game is known as the Monday Night Miracle.
Jumbo Elliot on the jumbo tron after catching that pass.
Aaanold in the announcers booth predicting that Wayne C was going to catch a pass for a TD and the Jets would win the game…which happened BTW.
Jason, I hate to say it because you are a Dolphin, but you gave it everything. I do wish you the best-unless you change your mind and come back and play for the Dolphins.

Really? That’s the move that “hurt the team”? Are you kidding me? Your d-bag owner has been overpaying for big names since he got there. How about when he assembled the 1995 Pro Bowl team? The only problem, it was 2000. If you don’t remember: Bruce Smith, Irving Fryar, Andre Reed, Mark Carrier, Deion Sanders etc. all old, all overpaid.

Another great Dolphin retires without a ring. Something needs to shake up in Miami, it’s a shame to do this to these players. Loved watching him play though. Him and Zach were about the only people worth watching in this franchise after Dan left.

-15 year career, missed only 7 games
-139.5 sacks
-8 INTs
-47 forced fumbles
-99 passes defensed
-9 TDs scored
-3 safeties

He’s Canton bound. Or should be. He’s not the flashiest name, so he probably won’t be a first ballot guy, but he’ll get in. Always seemed like a good guy who you’d love to have on your team. Wish him the best!

Agreed. 139.5 career sacks, a former Defensive Player of the Year, and got to one AFC Championship with the Jets last year. First ballot HOF, and a good guy, too.

15 seasons? It is certainly 15 years since he was drafted. Should the year with the Skins count? He may have been on the team, but he didn’t acutally play. Of course nobody plays when they are picked up by the Skins.

He’ll be in Canton, no doubt. Tremendous player that wasn’t just extremely gifted athletically, but had a lot of heart and love for the game. Very sad to see him leave the game without a ring.
