Brady listed as probable for Sunday

AP

Bill Belichick was asked what Tom Brady was able to do in practice on Thursday.

“Play quarterback, the usual thing,” Belichick said.

He’ll play quarterback on Sunday too, if there was any doubt. The Patriots list Brady as probable despite the injury to his non-throwing shoulder.

Starting offensive linemen Sebastian Vollmer (foot) and guard Logan Mankins (knee) will both be out for the Patriots against Buffalo. 16 players are listed as questionable.

New England will wrap up the No. 1 seed with a victory over Buffalo. Getting Mankins and Vollmer back for the playoffs will go a long way towards determining whether the Patriots win their first playoff game since the 2007 season.

  1. Yeah, BB wasn’t really all that interested in fielding questions regarding Brady during his presser. It was pretty funny, actually. Lost track of how many times he said, “I think we already covered that”

So funny hearing reporters try to get ANYTHING out of him that isn’t related to their next game.

Hopefully though, Chung and Spikes are back this game, that’d be quite a boost, and Matt Light hasn’t missed practice since his ankle issue last week, so hopefully he’ll be back also.

  2. The bye week is going to be huge. Should help heal some important injuries for a deep run.

Three beautiful, shiney, untainted, glistening Lombardi’s. And a good shot at another.

    Happy New Year Everyone!

  3. I know I’m hatin but I was just reminded how Bledsoe pouted when they won their 1st Super Bowl …having said that the Patriots are finished with Superbowls for now…so its all publicity trying to anoint them as serious contenders…they are a good regular season team no doubt but their championship run ended 8 count’em 8 years ago….yea I said it.

Belichick gives these guys nothing, week in and week out. Personally, I find that hilarious.

Yes, the defense should only allow 30 points and 500 yards that week…

Resting up for their one and done…patsies have barely beaten cupcakes for the past two months, last faced a team with winning record in early November. Now their offensive line is injured to go with historically bad NFL defense, and a playoff team will eat them alive…

    Untainted?

Tuck call was the worst call in the history of the NFL, doesn't get more tainted than that.

    Untainted?

The Patriots haven't won the Super Bowl since they stopped taping opposing defense's signals…

Wrong, just like your user name…

  8. @blackbeard,

They are untainted as far as I’m concerned. Your opinion don’t mean sh&t.

Three Lombardi’s in the trophy case and we aren’t giving them back.

So what are you going to do about it?

  9. @blackbeardk

The reason they are superbowl win-less since 2004 is because BB isn’t a personnel guy and we’ve not had any talent on Defense – since, forever. We have one guy who is a play maker, Wilfork… Mayo is serviceable…the rest should be playing w/ TO in the IFL. The reason the pats are currently 12-3 (soon 13-3 and #1 seed) is because the offense is crazy and BB’s coaching the defense….Other teams should thank their stars that we can’t draft well on defense, least we have three more rings.

    2001 – SB
    2002 – no playoffs due to tie-breaker
    2003 – SB
    2004 – SB
    2005 – Div. Round
2006 – AFC Champ Game (Defense choked)
2007 – AFC Champ (so i hear, i’ve blocked it out)
2008 – 11-5 w/ out Brady, no playoffs due to tie breaker
    2009 – Playoffs – bad loss
    2010 – Playoffs – bad loss

not bad…i know 20+ franchises that would take that run…

  10. habsman-Let me guess band wagon Fake-triot fan?

Guess I will have to keep pointing out the fallacy of your opinion…

The Belli-cheat error is coming to an end don’t break a leg jumping back off the band wagon…

  11. It’s only been seven years…ouch. That hurt to type. That said, Belichick’s press conferences ARE hilarious if you like someone tormenting the mediots for their buffoonery. I know I do….

  12. Typical Patriotards, forgot Buffalo beat your butts already and are coming off a 40-14 whooping of Tebow and the Broncos.
If you think this game against the Bills is a gimme, look for CJ Spiller, Stevie Johnson, Marcel Dareus and Fitzmagic to give you a full 60 minutes.
Let’s go Buffalo! The Bills should be 9-6 now. Look at the Giants, Jets and Bengals games…they were in the Bills hands.
    Lets get ready to rumble!!!!

  13. Brady is usually listed as “Probably”.

When the city girls are asked “Would you cheat on your spouse/boyfriend with Tom Brady?”.

You can say the same thing about Green Bay.

The one the other day when he referenced “candies and nuts” was pretty epic as well.

I swear BB should be a lawyer. I have never seen another person so able to convey utter contempt without once uttering a single expletive, raising his voice or calling anyone a name. You can practically hear the “BOOM…roasted” after half his answers.

  16. Another ploy by BelIcheat, do we really believe after seeing all the fan fare in the Saints game that Brady doesn’t want the same. He’ll be throwing till the cows come in to get the record.
