The Chiefs are getting some housekeeping done before the end of the year.

They signed kicker Ryan Succop to a contract extension on Friday, and did the same with linebacker Brandon Siler on Saturday.

Siler’s agent David Canter broke the news on Twitter. It’s a one-year deal.

This is basically a “do over” for Siler after he missed all of 2011 with a torn Achilles’ tendon. Siler had a chance to start in Kansas City, but got hurt during the preseason.
