Nice, honest, reflective comments by Weaver. I have always liked Coughlin as a coach. But it must be understood the he is “Old School”. I like “Old School”. It means that he expects the players to be men, be respectful of each other, be professionals, be disciplined and hard working. In general, he wants his players show integrity and character. All this makes him a bit “Old Fashioned” by the standards of many contemporary players. Coughlin and punks like Plaxico Burris will never see eye to eye. It’s my belief that a guy like Plaxico disgusts Coughlin…. and I think that it’s very correct, proper and righteous that he should think that way.

Wayne, Jax thanks you for all you’ve done in Jax, but this quote is a laughable since the Jaguars have not and continue’s to not draft well and the “right” coach in Del Rio’s nine year vacation was a disaster. You haven’t spoken in 18 years and now you are releasing statements every week. We love and respect you, but you just need to let Mr. Khan do his own thing now and find his way. Besides, you gave Gene Smith a 3 year extension with not one single draft looking or playing at a pro bowl level. Yeah he fixed the defense(through free agency). On top of that you stated in you’re press conference when you sold the team a few weeks ago that “we are about two drafts away”. Are you kidding me? We’ve been hearing this for 10 years and now we need to wait 2 more years. So in 2 more years are we going to hear yet again “we are two years away”. This is dysfunction at it’s finest. I mean this in no disrespect to Mr. Weaver, but I’m just ready for this Mr. Khan new era to begin. It’s long overdue.
