The Packers aren’t taking any chances in Week 17.

Matt Flynn will start at quarterback for Green Bay, and Aaron Rodgers will be inactive for the game. Matt Flynn gets his second career start against the Lions, and it will come in cold, windy conditions.

Green Bay will also sit cornerback Charles Woodson and linebacker Clay Matthews, who were questionable on the injury report. Running back James Starks, tackle Bryan Bulaga, wideout Greg Jennings, and wideout Randall Cobb are also inactive, as expected.

If Detroit can’t win this game, they are going to have problems in the playoffs. A win for Detroit would clinch the No. 5 seed in the NFC and a trip to the NFC East winner next week.
