Akers has been incredibly solid, excellent off-season acquisition. Even more impressive is that he’s accomplished this feat kicking at Candlestick, which is notoriously difficult to kick field goals in due to the swirling winds…not a windless indoor stadium with a perfect playing surface.

Not too many kickers make it to the Hall Of Fame but I will say Akers will be in there.
