Giants dominating Dallas in Meadowlands

Dallas Cowboys v New York Giants Getty Images

Dallas’ night started ugly when NBC showed a close up of Tony Romo’s still swollen hand. The first half proceeded to get a lot uglier.

The Giants lead 21-0 at halftime in a dominant effort by New York in every phase. New York is running the ball at will. Eli Manning has all day to throw.  And Romo has been under siege by the Giants’ multi-dimensional pass rush.

New York has 277 yards, to only 96 for Dallas. Romo doesn’t look that bad, but his offensive line and defense have been terrible.

Dallas needs a second half miracle, or yet regular season is going to end in major disappointment.

You can watch the second half live and chat with Florio on SNF Extra.

Did you guys really pipe in SALSA MUSIC into the telecast after Victor Cruz’s TD???

  2. zaggs says: Jan 1, 2012 10:03 PM

Eli 214 yards short of 5000 yards, while attempting 80 less passes than Matthew Stafford.

    Is Ware even playing?

  5. jimmysee says: Jan 1, 2012 10:05 PM

The Cowboys are playing like they don’t care.

No one in their right mind expected otherwise. Dallas has talent, but when Romo gets anywhere near the playoffs, he folds. It’s time for Jerruh to make a QB change.

  7. scoobaj says: Jan 1, 2012 10:09 PM

Jerry needs to go down to field level and make his frustrations known, that would help, right?

  8. teal379 says: Jan 1, 2012 10:11 PM

If the Cowboys had a defensive game plan, they’ve decided to keep it a secret until the 2nd half.

Course none of that phases Ryan – he’s a HEAD COACH – just ask him….

Embarrassed to be a Cowboys fan

    Please fire Rob Ryan

Please draft the best corner available

Please lock Jerry Jones in a closet forever

  11. jwil444 says: Jan 1, 2012 10:12 PM

Can we finally stop hearing how the Cowboys are one of the most “talented” teams in the league?

They are awful, and will never win big w/a QB best known for wearing his hat backwards.

  12. KIR says: Jan 1, 2012 10:12 PM

Rob Ryan isn’t half the defensive coordinator of his daddy, his brother nor Wade Phillips.

  13. dlmcc1010 says: Jan 1, 2012 10:16 PM

Terrence Newman is the worst CB in the NFL. Offensive line for the Cowboys has been bad. This team never really had a chance to win a game like this on the road

  14. whhaaat says: Jan 1, 2012 10:16 PM

haha … the eagles may not be the dream team as all the haters love to bring up, but the cowboys looking like they are gonna choke again at the end of the season is priceless.

  15. commonsensedude says: Jan 1, 2012 10:17 PM

Wow! One Ryan twin is eliminated from the playoffs in the afternoon and the other is being eliminated from the playoffs in the evening, after a season in which both of them ran their mouths incessantly. It’s a New Year’s miracle!!!

    Jerrah does not look happy……..

Maybe Jerry will come down on the sidelines and give Jason a pep talk.

Newman was good in his prime, it’s not his fault the Cowboys didn’t upgrade as he aged…

    That the GM for that…Jerry

When you have 1 decent D lineman, 1 excellent LB, and nobody else who could start for a good team, then you are NOT a talented team. Bad players play with no confidence. GM Fail 101.

  21. mikehockhurtz says: Jan 1, 2012 11:01 PM

Giants stadium just got really quiet after that Robinson touchdown….

    We got a game now

Now if only Collinsworth would shut up for the next half hour….

  22. richm2256 says: Jan 1, 2012 11:14 PM

What is Tebow doing at QB for the Cowboys???

  23. pnut87 says: Jan 1, 2012 11:17 PM

Cruz has 1536 receiving yards on the year and the game isn’t even over yet. Since when has that not been good enough for a pro bowl ballot?

  24. mikehockhurtz says: Jan 1, 2012 11:22 PM

    Cowboys fan for 41 years

I’m embarrassed to say I’m a Cowboys fan

    Thanks Mr. Jones

This is all a result of you running the organization

  25. irishgary says: Jan 1, 2012 11:26 PM

I told everyone. Giants -3 was a gimme.

    Cowboys choke, always.

    Right melllon head?

  26. zaggs says: Jan 1, 2012 11:26 PM

By the way, does Matthew Stafford own the record for most 4th quarter TD’s in a season? oh wait, thats Eli Manning.

  27. johnster67 says: Jan 1, 2012 11:32 PM

Gawd, the cowboys are horrific. If only they had a real GM with some cajones…

  28. johnshawisgay says: Jan 1, 2012 11:32 PM

Is there really any difference between the Cowboys, Browns, Vikings, Rams and Bucs???

  29. dirtdawg55 says: Jan 1, 2012 11:32 PM

Blobby Ryan’s defence is awesome. Oh, sorry I meant he said it was awesome. They are actually awful. Hey Blobby, don’t worry. I am sure that head coaching job will come soon. In the Lingerie Football League or Indoor Football League. Neither of those leagues require defense to be played so you are well qualified.

Now let’s recount on how the all-ego and all-talk teams have done this year.

The Eagles’ “Dream Team”? Check. 8 and 8. Out of playoffs.
America’s team? And Rob Ryan’s “best defence”? Yep. Check. 8 and 8. Out of playoffs
Two-time SB champions, NY NYETs? Check. 8 and 8. Out of playoffs.
The Raiders and their team of destiny? Just lose baby? Check. 8 and 8. Out of playoffs.
Denver Broncos and Tim Teblow? Check. 8 and 8 and about to be bounced from the playoffs.

That’s a whole lot of talk about a whole lot of average.

Really? When? He’s never made one play that is memorable. 1st round pick on this always injured “great” cover guy. Get serious. He was always just tackling the next receiver who smoked his a#$. From day one he’s sucked. Terrible pick. “As he aged” We drafted him when he was 26. He sucks. Always has.

Who are the Eagles playing next week? It’s their off-season again, so I guess they’re primed for another on paper championship.

Funny, I remember a lot of people saying pretty much the same thing in 2007/2008. Except then it was the undefeated Patriots.

Atlanta has some explosive weapons, to be sure. But blown out? Sounds like a Philly fan got some sour grapes for Christmas.

    THE NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS.

Don’t wanna hear from Cowboys, Jets, NOR IGGLES fans until September.
