What is it about Wide Receivers and being the dumbest, most egotistical and selfish divas in the league, bar none? Santonio Holmes, Stevie Johnson, TO, Ochostinko, Burress, Dez Bryante, etc, they’re all mere role players on teams yet receive disproportionate amount of attention.

Honestly as a Jets fan I’m just disappointed. I never wanted my team to turn into the loudmouth laughing stock of the NFL, and never agreed with their offseason additions that turned our to be mostly busts. Whoever is seriously in charge of our organization needs to look deep and realize the foundation of this team was terribly flawed.

Typical Holmes , was that way in Columbus, Pittsburgh and now his team is seeing his true character. He is a Captain alright and watching him on the sidelines when the game was on the line he deserved that big L or I mean C on his jersey.

This is why I think Rex Ryan is in over his head as a head coach. He’s a great Defensive Coordinator. He appoints Captains because teammates would NEVER elect Sanchez or Holmes their team captains. One’s a head case and the other is NOT a leader. He talks too much for this business. He calls everyone a loser who thinks he shouldn’t be guaranteeing Super Bowls BUT he’s the one watching the playoffs w/ the rest of us. It’s good to have confidence but you can’t be a zealot about it. The Jets are not good. They’re quarterback is not good. He’s average. The best thing that happened to them was losing today so they can try and get this thing straightened out. Until he has a reality check and tones it down these guys are going no where.

With the people on this team, including the head coach himself, this was inevitable. Once things start going wrong, people are going to start pointing fingers or quitting on the team. Holmes should never have been a team captain. I personally am happy they missed the playoffs. Now we don’t have to hear about the Jets in the playoffs this year.

Santonio is a talented receiver. But his experience with Pittsburgh should have taught him that receivers are expendable. He shouldn’t count much on all Rex’s sweet talk if he alienates everyone else.
