Ravens a trip to Indy? What did they all go In together and rent a sports bar to watch the Super Bowl or something? You will never play in a Super Bowl ever again while joe is your qb..mediocre at best. The bengals will beat Houston so they’ll see you again but with different refs this time

Ok people let’s get real for a second.

First, to everyone talking about the officials in this game… Ravens had 7 penalties called agains them, the Bengals had 4….. Don’t get it twisted nobody “Had it out for the Bengals” As for the final play, when a DB is in proper position and looking up for the ball he get’s away with a lot more than if he were out of position. On those jump balls there is always a lot of pushing back and forth and does not/should not get called.

And for the Bengals fans upset about the line that says they didn’t look like a playoff team…. they did not look like a playoff team. Your team had one good drive the entire game, they were down 17-3 at half time, gave up 200 + yards rushing and never had a real shot at winning that game (A 40 yard hail mary with 4 seconds left is not a legit shot at winning especially when you are down by 8 and still need a 2 pt conversion).

They got the ball down the field because the Ravens D gave them the middle of the field purposfully so that they would eat up clock… which they did. The following plays they got nothing just as the did all game.

If they were a playoff caliber team they would have gotten up to stop the run when they game was 17-13 and not let Ray Rice bust off 51 yards and TD. But Baltimore was the playoff team Sunday, they build a lead, sat on it, then forced the Bengals to use their timeouts and milked the clock.

I’m not always a fan of it, and it’s hard to watch but the Ravens love to use the clock as a 12th defender, they did it Sunday and it worked. The game was never in doubt and if the hail mary had worked (which it doesn’t 90% of the time) then we would be talking about how the Bengals “stole one away” from Baltimore who controlled the game from start to finish with maybe the exception of the 3rd quarter.

The bengals swept the division and made the playoffs 2 years ago and since that season they have a new starting qb, 3 new starting receivers, a new starting te and offensive coordinator and that’s just offense! To make all those changes from 2 years ago and make it back to the playoffs is pretty darn good.

I just hope they’re not one and done again. Playing against houston it could go either way.

@ravenator – Exactly! Torrey absolutely pushed off – LEGALLY because he was trying to break free from William Gay’s illegal hold. The flag was in the air a full two steps before Torrey shoved Gay off of him. Against playoff teams this year the Ravens are 6-0, Texans 3-2, Steelers 3-4, Pats 1-2, Broncos 1-3, Bengals 0-7.

I think the Steelers are a better football team than the Broncos, but they are going to lose Sunday. Being in Denver is going to wear on the aging Steelers D. They’ll likely play well the first half but by the middle of the third quarter they’ll be sucking wind and Jesus’ own quarterback will be blowing past them for the win.

How can anyone say the Bengals backed into the playoffs??? Of the teams that were in the AFC PO hunt, who was more deserving? The Broncos backed in with a 500 record while winning their division with a 500 record, the raiders ended their season with a 500 record, the Jets ended their season with a 500 record, and the Bengals defeated the 9-7 Titans in a head to head match up during the regular season. The Bengals done all the right things through the duration of the season to get to the playoffs. PLAYOFFS?!?! PLAYOFFS!?!? I CAN’T BELIEVE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE BENGALS IN THE PLAYOFFS!?!? They might have lost to the Ravens last Sunday, however, that does not mean they backed in.

Yes that was a push-off (not), how about the fact that your CB grabbed his arm prior to even pushing off, it was the right call, defensive pass-interference, deal with it. That #1 defense certainly showed up week 1, haha, wait, did it show up in week 9, nope!!! What about vs the niners??? Nope!!!! Yes keep telling yourself that the Steelers will be AFC champions. They’ll be lucky to even make it out of Denver. Didn’t you say book it for when the Ravens were supposed to fall to the Bengals week 17, oh wait, that didn’t happen did it? @ravenator….yup you dominated the afc north. With a last second hail mary to smith who clearly pushed off..but all of that is in the past..lets look forward now. Things we know..steelers old, slow & done defense ended up # 1 in league. Ravens #6 defense. Steelers offense ranked 9th..Ravens ranked 19th…hmmmm. Let me know how this works out in the end…I’m pretty sure we all know how..Steelers AFC Champions! Book it!

@somesome…uhhhh I watched the Ravens vs cincy game yesterday, and that was less than good play by the ravens & their king of “checkdown” QB joe flacco.. AndI saw your ravens almost get beat by the browns in your own house! In cleveland yesterday if you knew anything there was 40 mph winds which makes it impossible to throw the ball. And that’s what we do chump. You just better hope there is high winds at empty bank in 2 weeks. Cause if not it’s steel curtains for the ratbirds!

@mrcincinnatti – you probably don’t rea;oze tjos because you can’t read, but the bengals got called flagged 4 times for 35 yards and the Ravens got flagged 7 times for 58 yards. kinda takes the air out of your argument. btw – the blatant pass interference on Torrey in the 1st qtr would have been another touchdown, so you might as well throw out the last play of the game as well. And the PF on Ngata for roughing the passer was more than a head scratcher it was ludicrous. See, my compadre, we can all complain about the refs. The bottom line is you got beat by a better team. Remember that, girlie, you got beat by a better team. We swept the AFCN this year and went undefeated at home. You got beat by a better team. There is no shame in that. You all had a very nice year considering you started a rookie QB and a rookie WR, but the bottom line is that the Ravens were better in general across the board on defense and on offense as well. Torrey got none of the pub that Green got and had a season that was comparable. Last time to say this so that you from Cincy who seem to have trouble reading: YOU GOT BEAT BY A BETTER TEAM

That “pass interference” was likely not called because AJ Green (I think) stiff armed Lardarius Webb in the face before Webb made contact. I’m not trying to troll, but just watch the replay and you’ll see what I mean.

Teams that “back in” to the playoffs are teams that tend to underperform from preseason expectations.

But, obviously everyone predicted that the Bengals would win more than 9 games this year, right?

Bengals go 4-12. Get criticized.
Bengals go 9-7 and make playoffs amid mass amounts of negative predictions. Get criticized.

All the teams the Bengals lost to this year are better than them. But of course they were supposed to be so much better, right?

Playoffs are the playoffs.

The official that no called the PI on the second to last play of the game should be suspended 8 games. That was as obvious as PI can be and he totally blew it. That said the Bengals would have only had time to run one play so they may or may not have scored, and then they had to get the 2pt conversion, just to take it to OT. Either way the official should have thrown the flag.

Great game between 2 very good teams. Very happy the ravens will have a bye and a home game, they need rest and to get a few people back. I think everybody can say the afc north is the toughest division in football with 3 of 4 in the playoffs. Very lousy officiated game for both sides, bengals def had the worst of it, but the only one that had me baffled was the running into the kicker. They waved it off because it was tipped, but what did that have to do with running into the kicker?

GO RAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
