How many of you out there have faith in these two idiots and their so-called “process”? Not me. Proven winners like Fisher will go to teams with established QBs, so that means we have to rely the judgement of these two to find a hidden talent. What are the odds on that, Vegas?

Wow, with the track record of this franchise over the last decade, including the current regime and previous ones……….I have no confidence in what Jeff Ireland says. Why don’t they just stick with what is currently working. They are winning with Matt Moore as quarterback and Todd Bowles as coach. So stick to a winning game, add a few pieces and continue winning.

Why not just keep Todd Bowles?!? Did you watch the Dolphins with Bowles as coach? Beat the jets almost beat the pats, they were playing some good football under Bowles! I’d keep Bowles because the players play for and stick up for him. But its the Dolphins so they’ll screw up on their new hire of some big ego coach with unreal expectations (like a rex ryan kind of guy, and how ironic that both of rex’s O and D coordinators are gonna be interviewed!!!)

Long term coaching success is just as difficult to find as a long-term franchise QB, if not moreso.

I was far happier with the coordinating of Daboll on offense (presuming I’m correct that various conservative calls, bad clock management, and endgame decisions were on Sparano as indicated by past experience and some comments made by the staff) than I was by the coordinating of Nolan who too often applied pressure when coverage was key and/or let up on the gas in the second half of the game. So I wouldn’t mind a defensive-minded HC (particularly since it has been the defining characteristic of Fin teams since the Johnson era — for good or ill) in an era when true success will be defined by a defense’s ability to stop the high-flying offenses.

Of course, Philbin and Chudzinski are also the most intriguing names on this list to me.

Seems like every time head coaches with alot of experience come up, their names are often eliminated because such and such team has a prominent general manager. If it is the case that a guy like Fisher or Cowher who have been in the game for a long time don’t want to have to deal with a strong GM, they are possibly eliminating a few good opportunities for themselves. These guys should stick to coaching their teams and allowing a good GM to bring them in the talent they’ll need.

The Dolphins roster is not bad. They have playmakers on each side of the ball. If they could get consistent play from the QB position, there’s no reason they can’t be a contender next season.

Neither were Sparano, Haley, Morris, Spagnuola, Frazier, Caldwell, McDaniel, etc., etc., etc………

They don’t need to find a minority for the Rooney rule…they just need to give Boweles and interview, which he’s earned anyway.

Personally, I like Billick. Experienced, rested, intelligent…and probably the only “name” coach that would be willing to work with Ireland, and not want to change the coordinators. A change AND continuity.

Philbin or Chudzinski please. The Dolphins need an offensive minded head coach who can develop a young QB. Their top pick will be a QB, and if they add some team speed on offense and defense, they might actually make the playoffs again in my lifetime.
