Justify why again he is paid 50 million? If he is worth 50 million at this point, what are the RBs above worth?

You get paid for what your are going to bring to the team in the future, not what you have done in the past. NPV in finance terms looks like he is worth the average or below

I will say it again. He is a fraud, dosent care, and dosent put out the effort. He runs into tackles and has no way out of them. The speed is gone. Waste of money, and should be cut no matter how large the loss is.

Honestly you can sleepwalk your way to 1000 yards, I don’t think it’s a huge accomplishment anymore. I’m a Steelers fan and Mendenhall has been horrible this season, yet he could have gotten 1000 yards had he stayed healthy week 17. Also, Chris Johnson was not good at all this year, he only showed up for about 1/4 of the games.

Just have to play your games and you’ll probably get it, though that is one of the tougher tasks for backs considering all the injuries they go through.

Dumbest move the Tacks made. It should be obvious that he wasn’t the same back. Speed back always fizz out quickly. Johnson is quickly becoming ‘used to fast’ Willie Parker.

I hope the majority of NFL fans aren’t as fickle as the ones who post here. He’s been in the league since 2008 and has had 1 down year (still rushed for 1000 yards). People forget he has a new coach/new QB/new system and the league was locked out. He also held out and had a hamstring injury. He’s earned his paycheck as much as anyone and deserves to prove it once again in 2012.

How does playing for a new QB or for a new coach an excuse for a RB having a down year. Adrian Peterson had a new coach and like three new QBs this year. He performed as usual. MJD played with a new QB. He performed as usual. Frank Gore played for a new coach. He performed as usual. Reggie Bush went to an entirely new team and had his best year ever. So did Willis McGahee. I could go on but I don’t have all night.

And for the guy who said “why is 1000 yards a disappointment”, he did about 400 of that in 4 games against horrible teams. He gained about 600 in the other 12. THAT is why he’s a disappointment. He got paid and, like so many other high profile athletes, gave a miserly effort. Look, TEN wasn’t a world beating team but that O-Line is not a bad group. His effort hitting the hole was the problem.
