100% Agree also, and I think all the Jets WR this year had a reason to be angry about how this offense is going and now team brass says everyone (Sanchez, Schotty) is staying WTF !

We get it….. you’ve won 6 Super Bowls. You have a great franchise. Our franchise is not as good as yours. You got us good with those comments all season.

Now…. can you all just get back to screaming at the TV during every play from scrimmage, complaining about 35 missed penalties against the opposition, and making Steeler games essentially unwatchable for any other fan attempting to watch their game at a bar?

I know, I know….. at least you get to scream like a 10-year old at the TV next week. I’ll save you the trouble of having to type that zinger and patting yourself on the back.

Plax wasn’t a problem. He played hard all year and did what he could. Hell, I still think LT showed he has gas in the tank. Guy plays hard, did what he was asked to do, and is a good teammate. Not going to dominate but he showed me more than Shonn Greene did.

Agree 100%. I’ve been a big Sanchez defender for 3 years but he clearly regressed this season. The O-Line has something to do with that but Sanchez still stares down receivers and gets happy feet with any level of pressure.
Tough for Plax to do a hell of a lot if the offense isn’t designed to throw more than 10 yards downfield. He doesn’t deserve all the negative comments. The guy played hard all season.

The Jets simply didn’t upgrade any facet of their team this year…. Defense not as good, O-Line not as good, running game way worse than last year, QB still making critical errors at critical times. Even special teams took a step back (though still pretty good). Not complicated… Ryan way oversold this team when it had obvious problems from the start. I love our coach but he needs to tone it down until we win something.

1. Holmes
2. FA
3. Kerley
4. Turner
5. Burress

Actually, chief of the short bus, the Steelers didn’t pass. They spent a first round pick on each and got back a 5th and a compensatory pick in return. That is not what you want to be selling to the “executive of the year ” search committee.

Perhaps you could have underscored the difficulty that even good GM’s like Colbert, Thompson, Newsome and Belichick have in evaluating talent. They all have picks that don’t work out. In fact, usually over half the first round picks underperform their draft position. That would have been a more lucid post than saying ” my AFC 5th seed team is getting a free trip to Denver while you bye week idiots in New Orleans have to watch the game from Bourbon St.

Getting a third receiver will help, but the Jets have to realize that it does not have to be a draft pick or a sexy off-season acquisition!!! Look at Laurent Robinson in Dallas, Doug Baldwin in Seattle, and Lance Moore in New Orleans; they were all capable guys that were picked up off the street!!!

However, the Jets need Jim Fassel as the offensive coordinator!!! He knows quarterbacks and the passing game!!!!

Something else to consider – Since Sanchize averaged about 5 yards per attempt, anyone think that he had a shoulder injury this season? He never seemed to throw the ball downfield….

Sanchez played the entire season with a third degree Schottenheimer of his right shoulder.

I mean, if he was bad, the Jets would get rid of him, and if he was great, some desperate team would throw big money at him.

It’s kind of a given that any player on a one year contract is likely one and done. That’s sort of how it works.

That being said, for someone who hasn’t played football in a couple of years, I think he had a tremendous season – and next year he could be a good acquisition for some team (because i believe his numbers will be better next season).

Plaxico has kept his nose clean, busted his ass in practice, ran every route, and caught as many balls as he could that were thrown his way. I think it would be a shame if the Jets let him go. Maybe he didn’t start playing like a beast right out of prison but he made some great plays and I think deserves another shot next year. Besides, look at the depth chart…..
They could use him.

He is done! Nobody is signing to a long term contract let alone another guaranteed contract. As far as busting his ass in practice, he would have to practice in order to do that and he didn’t practice for at least 1/2 the games this year

I’m not a Jets fan in the slightest, but I know Burress has skill, it just strikes me as odd that this team is so bent on preserving those who really are weaknesses on their team.

Am I the only one who noticed?

Steelers are by far smartest organization in nfl. Passed on burress & holmes. Decisions like that make us a great team year in and year out…IN COLBERT WE TRUST!
