I doubt Elway will be able to draft an NFL-ready QB though so he’s going to have to live with 8/23 for 77 yards etc for a while. I really don’t think any QB guru could do anything with his throwing motion or poor accuracy.

He definitely is not seeing the field well and is holding the ball too long and scrambling to buy time then makes poor desperation throws. Elway is right. 3-step drop and let it go. Hopefully the coaching staff will stop relying vertical routes where Tebow just watches our slow wideouts run down the field covered. What they were doing well during that win streak was getting a big pass now and then along with Tebow breaking the occasional run. They have got to find a way to get back to that if they are to have any chance.

I know some Tebow fans who are absolutely convinced Fox’s offense is holding the kid back but I think Fox deserves a medal for so completely catering the offense to what Tebow does well. No coincidence the winning streak started with the first game after Fox scrapped the offense they’d been running with Orton in favor of this simpler, more run-heavy version. And the slowed down pace helped their defense stay rested. Denver is not talented enough to be in the playoffs. Props to Fox and his staff for somehow getting them there.

Hire someone with an established reputation as a quarterback coach, who won’t get caught up in all the hype and will be tough with him. Then they go to work every day learning the bare basics of the position – from square one, as if he has never seen a football before – so he can return to the Broncos strong (or at least up to average level) in the full range of fundamentals and ready to learn the new offensive scheme and get fine tuned under the team’s regular coaches.

If he doesn’t do that, he will not last in the league more than a season or two more before no one even wants him as a backup.

Teams already have him figured out, stack the box, stop the run and play press on his receivers, and just make sure he can’t take off.
