With the 30th ranked, most sacked offense? You think Martz was responsible for getting Cutler to the playoffs? Really?

BTW, in 08 the Broncos defense gave up an AVERAGE of 28ppg. The best record any QB has put up while giving 28ppg? 8wins by Cutler, tied with Dan Fouts and one of his 8s teams. Yeah.

Give this guy AVERAGE protection and AVERAGE WR play and he is a to 8 QB. Put him in GB and he puts up Rodgers type #’s. Don’t believe me? Did you watch the Packers last week?

Cutler was 100% correct about McDaniels, who went behind his back and tried to trade him, then lied about it! Look at McDaniels now! Pray tell how Cutler was not redeemed! He ran off Brandon Marshall, Tony Sheffler, Peyton Hillis and drafted Tim Tebow in the FIRST round!

Not one single solitary coach Cutler he has played for has ever had anything bad to say about Cutler! He is a hard worker and a leader.

Not one single, solitary teammate has ever had anything negative to say about Cutler!

So where does all this come from? Body language? Facial expression? Arm chair psychologists examine the guys every facial expressions and move and then extrapolate wildly. I have never seen anything like it in my life. The criticisms against Cutler are all mostly phantoms devised out of thin air.

The guy did not torture dogs to death by the testicles and get off on it like another QB. He was never accused of rape like another QB. Yet he is vilified– based on WHAT? The look on his face? What an amazing psychological study this whole phenomenon is.

Cutler had his best two seasons from a W/L perspective under Martz, but didn’t get to throw as much as he did going 8-8 with Denver in 2008.

Funny, when I think of OC’s that don’t throw nearly enough, I know Mike Martz is the FIRST name that comes to my mind.

Any other thoughts on offseason goals?

3 different offensive coordinators in 4 years, and no offensive line. SACKED 110 times, injured twice, and he is fortunate that’s not 22 times.

Imagine his potential with an offensive.

Cutler has yelled at his QB coach, whined his way out of Denver, got his offensive coordinator fired, and is marrying Kristen Cav.

I got nothing good to say about this guy.

This change probably added 3 years to Jay’s career.

Martz’s system is dated now….too many 7-step drops, asks the Oline to block for too long and needs the right WRs, which Chicago never had.

Maybe he should try being an analyst.

The Bears have a highly suspect O-line, and without serious protection, there is no way any QB can survive the Martz system. Cutler had a good season, and was amazing throwing on the run. Of course, he had a lot of practice at throwing on the run, since he usually had the defense in his grill about 2 seconds after the ball was snapped.

And before Martz, it was Ron Turner. And the receivers. And the O-line. But then replacing Turner with Martz, it was going to be okay. Except it wasn’t.

When he was in Denver, it was poor O-line play. Then Clady came along, and the O-line got better, then it was the defense. But then they fired his QB Coach and he asked for a trade.

Basically, at the end of the day, Cutler is so amazing that he should have whatever he wants: The OC of his choice, a top flight defense, big-time WR’s, high-end O-line… and eventually he’ll be successful. And at that point, he’ll probably even play hurt.

Until then, the excuses will continue.

Excuses for what? The team was 7-3 and well on their way to making the playoffs. The team was 11-5 the previous year, won the division and played in the NFC Championship Game.

Cutler was supporting this move because Mike Martz refused to accept the fact that the Bears do not have the personnel to run his offense, and he refused to make the modifications necessary without an annual intervetion by Smith, Cutler and Mike Tice. This was not Mike Martz’ offense that the Bears were operating when they went on their 5 game winning streak, it was a hybrid of Martz’ offense and an offense that Tice/Cutler had tinkered with.

He is one of the worst QBs I have even seen and you love him while bashing the guy that you once had.

Jay Cutler can fart a better pass then Tebow can throw and you don’t know the difference.
