Suggs, Brady, Prater win AFC monthly awards

Terrell Suggs made his case for Defensive Player of the Year earlier this week. He also did it throughout the month of December.

Suggs won the AFC Defensive Player of the Month award after recording five sacks and forcing four fumbles in his final five games of the season.

Tom Brady got the offensive award for his quietly outstanding finish to the season. While Drew Brees was breaking records, Brady threw for 1,608 yards and 11 scores in his last five games. He also won the award in November.

So Brady broke Dan Marino’s passing yards record, led his team to a 13-3 record despite an awful defense, and was second in the league in yards-per-attempt. That would win him an MVP most years, but this year he’s not even in the discussion.

Matt Prater won the AFC special teams award. Jesus approves.

    BSHU Go Ravens

After being shafted for years it looks like Ravens are starting to get some respect around the league.

People like Winning team Huh ? Weird !

But Suggs will be the first to tell you that his sights are playing in Indy at the end

The way Brady fell over when Drayton Florence blocked him (supposedly drilled him) on his pick, he should win bad actor of the month award.

I am a Pats fan and I am pleasantly surprised by this.

I agree with you Ravens fans on Suggs. The man is a beast. He may talk a lot, but he can back it up and I would love him on my team.

As a Pats’ fan, I am really glad Brady is not in consideration for MVP…it seems like a playoff kiss of death.
