“It’s ok to have faith in your team but your taking being a “homer” to a whole new level”

Oh really? It’s a realisitc possibility seeing the average win total of this team the past two years is 13.5. What’s 2 or 3 more wins against a pathetic schedule next year. This is a football team that has the best offense in the history of football the past 5 years (look it up folks). Combine this with a young, swarming, up and coming defense that is starting to gel and you have 19-0.

Young, swarming defense?? Their pass defense is the worst in football. Offense is good but what has that won theem since the last SB when they were 18-0 and lost?

Not such a tough choice.

By almost a 2-1 margin, people think your comment was stupid.
Let's see, would I rather live in the USA or Canada?

Thats not a tough one at all........EH?

.

The main criteria for Patriots offensive coordinator is your comfort level with Brady. No one is going to revolutionize an offense that has been in place for a decade. If your play calling is suspect, Brady will audible out. The O-line and RB coach have been there forever, plus Ferenz has done an excellent job as TE coach, developing Hernandez and Gronkowski. Other than keep Brady happy, there's not much to do.

McDaniel will come back to NE on a handshake deal that he'll be the next guy when BB moves upstairs @ the end of Brady's current contract. Rams won't stand in his way because Fisher will want his own guy. Pats can't offer Assistant Head Coach title unless they take it away from Scar, which they won't do. I'd still rather be coach in waiting in NE than HC in KC. If Pioli doesn't win soon, he'll be out too. Where will that tleave McDaniel.

Unless McDaniels has “offensive coordinator” duties listed as his exclusive position in his Rams contract, the organization actually could reassign him to “other duties,” including off-field assignments, that would lock him into serving out the terms of his Rams contract thus keeping him from being an assistant elsewhere in the league.

That's not how things work in the NFL and none of the teams are that petty. Bottom line: If the new coach doesn't want him on his staff he's gone - plain and simple. If they even tried that tactic #1 it would be a huge distraction for the new coaching regime; #2 you're gonna pay a football guy over $1M a year to shuffle papers out in a trailer in the back parking lot? I'm sure he won't be disgruntled and won't be a distraction. #3; No assistant coach worth his salt would even consider going to the Rams as long as that regime was in charge who pulled that stunt.

With Josh McDaniels the coach of the New England Patriots football team, this is a team that may go 19-0. You look at this football team and their schedule, this could be 2007 redux. Home games with denver, seattle, s.f., indy and houston. on the road against balt., jax, tenn., st. louis and arizona. Easy, easy schdule. This is a team that may set records. February 2013 in New Orleans!!!!!!!!

some of you forget a # of things:
-he designed that record setting offense of the Pats in '07
-Denver was stupid to give him personnel authority, which he wouldn't have in NE or KC
-no coordinator can overcome 3/5ths of the starting OL on IR; a dinged up QB; a dinged up RB; no viable TEs; and only 1 NFL caliber WR that they had to trade for after 4 weeks of the season had gone by

it's obvious that a lot of people in the NFL still highly regard McDaniels as an offensive coordinator.

i'd love to have him KC to reunite with Cassel. amazing what happens when Cassel has a legit play-caller and coordinator in the house, as his 48 TD to 11 INTs and 89 and 93 QB Ratings show in '08 and '10.

Being an offensive coordinator of the worst offense in the league should not gain anyone such interest. Josh Mcdaniels failed to score with Stephen Jackson, Sam Bradford, and Brandon LLoyd on there roster for most of the season. The GM drafter no premier offensinve lineman and overrated players like Kendricks who has problems with drops in college, funny how it could carry over to the pros... St. Louis needs to clean house, top to bottom with the GM, Spagnolo and Mcdaniels unemployed for at least a year as punishment for what they put the Ram fans through. Remember plenty of people picked the Rams to win the division. 2 wins later and these guys are top commodites for coordinator jobs, what a joke.

Yeah, Boston is so “beautiful” that they are outlawing knives, spending tax dollars on sex-change operations and fake breasts for inmates, and it is one of the most racist cities in the U.S. They also love them some drinking U.S. Senators that drive drunk and kill young women.
-----------------------------------------------------
This is very accurate, I'm a NH native living in the south thankfully!

As a Pats fan I would love to have Josh back, if BB sees him as someone worthy of being groomed to take over his job one day, so be it!

Heck i'm still trying to figure out the want/need for him every place he's gone they've stunk...so was it really him/his offensive genius at work in NE? Seems not to be the offense hasn't missed a beat since he left...see just like QB's when things go well you get all the credit when they go bad you get all the blame but in McD's case other than NE all the bad is on him...see a good coordinator/coach can take what he has and make it better i..e. the Texans D stunk before Wade Phillips got there and true to his rep he made them a damn good defense and that's what he does good but as a HC well he stinks at that...anyhow I think Mc D has gotten far too much credit for New Englands offense as it was good before he became the OC and it's still good after he left...

Unless McDaniels has "offensive coordinator" duties listed as his exclusive position in his Rams contract, the organization actually could reassign him to "other duties," including off-field assignments, that would lock him into serving out the terms of his Rams contract thus keeping him from being an assistant elsewhere in the league.

Actually, not a bad idea to keep him from going back to the Patriots or working for the Chiefs if Romeo gets the head job.

Really, the only way out for him from under his Rams contract is to get a head job, and I don't think that is going to happen.

Rams could "ice" him under the terms of their deal, and it would be in their favor to do so.

Can the Jags hire a coach already so the Jets can fire BS and get into the mix with McDaniels please?

Sanchez gets one final shot to correct himself and if not, you can start fresh next year.
(Minor chance of head coach promotion if they do not make the playoffs again)

You'd already have a better than average defense (although overrated) a few offensive pieces plus the draft, all the Jets need is an effective offensive scheme which he might be able to create!!
