Jamie Dukes was saying don’t be surprised if this is the upset of the playoffs.

John did not want to start Tebow to begin with because anyone could tell he was not ready. When Tebowmania made John switch to Tebow and the team started winning, all looked good. Now that the NFL knows how to defend the read-option of a very good running QB, it is time to move on. 2011 was the rebuilding year anyway.

He just is that kind of QB, and even still he could beat Pittsburgh , since they’re only averaging 13 points per game.

this will an upset of monumental proportions, unless Polamalu, Harrison and company simply blow up anything moving for most of the game. This is also a game Tebow could very well be knocked out of if he gets to running. This is going to be a little more interesting than people think – both Tebow and Rothlisberger could be knocked out – Ben is a statue and Elvis had a near knockout blow on Brady.

1986 – NY Jets started the season 10-1 then lost five straight to finish 10-6. They benched Ken O’Brien before the wildcard game vs. KC and started Pat Ryan and the Jets won. Lost the next week to Cleveland in double OT.

Speaking as a browns fan, I think you bronco fans would have a better chance if winning if Horse Face Elway himself, dusted off the ol size small jockstrap, and played, as opposed to putting pretty boy Brady in to save the day. You rode Teboner to the playoffs thus far, you might as well ride him the rest of the way.

Yes, he sure is. He went 6/19 for 90 yards against what was ranked as the 16th best pass defense in the league.

If anyone wants to know what is going to happen, its pretty simple. Pitt is going to load up the box and force Denver to pass the ball. I expect 8 on the line and 3 going man to man. Heck, Ryan Clark would have probably been replaced with an extra line backer anyways.

All Pitt is going to do is pull out their playbook from when they played Denver in the AFC championship game and forced Plummer to try to win the game with his arm. If that had been Payton or Tom Brady, Pitt would have been chewed up badly. But with Plummer, it was a different story.

Its going to be a tight game only because Pitt is having problems moving the ball and Denver wont be able to move anywhere.

Unless someone from the Denver Post, or a Denver stationed media outlet reports this from being around the practice, this report is baloney.

I’d like to see Quinn get some playing time. He supposedly was No.2 all pre-season.
He has been the ultimate team player all while there.
He was never truly given a chance since coming to the NFL. If you recall they kept switching back and forth in Cleveland.
He was the quarterback when Cleveland beat Pittsburg. He has two significant injuries in Cleveland.

As you can tell I’m rooting for him, not against anyone else.

NFL.com reports that Brady Quinn did not take first-team reps in Broncos practice this week.
According to NFL.com’s Jeff Darlington, the Broncos had “internal discussions” about splitting quarterback reps between Quinn and Tim Tebow, but it didn’t actually occur. Quinn also told Darlington that he “hasn’t gotten any extra reps.” Quinn added that he received only two reps in Friday’s practice.

So let’s not get carried away here…

Yes, does seem like Flutie and Robosack in 1999 but remember that the week before that playoff game, Rob Johnson played a flawless game against the Indianapolis Colts. That performance made Wade Phillips and company believe that he provided a better chance to win. In this case, the driving factor is Tebow’s inadequacies, not Quinn’s superior play.

You can set up any quarterback to fail and that’s what the Broncos have been doing to Tebow. As soon as he gets some success, it’s run on 1st, run on second down, andhave to throw on third down.
You forget how well Tebow played last year when McDaniels actually ran an imaginative offense
