Careful about broadcasting your ignorance in public. 'Hey look at me, I don't know anything about college football' doesn't exactly pay any dividends.

That being said...

David Wilson's Sugar Bowl and ACC championship were not his best performances, and I'm not sure why. Not bad, but pale in comparison to some of his games I've seen. Last year as a change of pace back he was downright scary. If he fills that role in the NFL, could lead to similar results.

But one thing is for sure, for a guy his size its amazing how he refuses to go down on first contact and that usually plays exceptionally well in the NFL. Many a larger back have washed out in the NFL because in college they were 4-6 yards down field before they got touched but wend down in the NFL at first touch.

I don't think he's a back that should play second fiddle, but I think he would thrive in an offense that had another back he could share carries with.

For example: Imagine if you had to face Ray Rice and David Wilson, I think both would be better. (Not sure why I thought of the Ravens first, just seems to fit)

great speed and good power for the type of runner that he is. he needs to work on getting hit...he takes way to many big hits to stay healthy in the nfl. not a guy who is going to carry the ball 25 times a game but a great change of pace/outside runner

@TheDPR hosley is a cb not a safety. and yeah he is a much better player than kam chancellor.

I like his chances in the NFL. He's not the biggest guy but he has a deceptive amount of power to go with his quickness.

He needs to show the pros he can catch the ball out of the backfield and not fumble. If he stays healthy, his chances for success are good.

Talking of Hokies coming out, Jayron Hosley is the Hokie to watch in the NFL. Think Kam Chancellor is working out well at Safety in Seattle? Hosley is better and has a chance to be among the top Safeties in football.

This guy is a beast, and the Sugar Bowl was by far not one of his best games. David Wilson will have no problem at the next level with a little coaching on ball security.

He can be unstoppable. By far better than some of the early and mid round backs that have been drafted out of Va Tech in recent years.

I had never see this guy play until the Sugar Bowl, so I don't know how accurate my assessment is, but he runs like Beast Mode 2.0. Never went down with first contact and looks like he could definitely carry the load at the next level.
